Hey Kiwis - Jetstar has some fares to Melbourne From Akl and Chch for like $280 return. Just sayin

I dont know that it needs to be for a recovery session though - as I said to you earlier my Sunday morning mix would probably consist of something upbeat to wake me up.

Also technically, I'm calling you out.  You didn't record your mix in the morning at all tongue

Only Aussies are interested in this?

what's so special about tokyo that makes it so you play haunted candies without us yelling at you for half an hour trash80 sad

Haunted Candies was totally appropriate right before Halloween!

You were able to move enough to get a camera out - that means Not that crowded tongue

I'd hate to give anything away wink

A website about horses being deadly made you miss the QB? hehehe
If we didnt have all the sound issues we totally could have had a pre or post party there

I treasure anonymity,

So make that your shtick. There is a band thats ben active here in Australia for 30 years that no one  knows who is in it. Use a pseudonym as your real name, and a mask on stage. No ones stopping you. Hell, one of the most intreguing things about Banksy is that no one who who he is - right?

Also, try sending out press releases to people that you think could potentially be interested in reviewing you. Both online and IRL, chip and not. A well written press release (so many guides online) can make a big difference between getting noticed and being ignored

They do put it on every year, so who knows - you might have to come back to Melbs in 2013 smile

We typically have trouble with co-ordinating streams, but will probably use the opportunity to do a practice run for Blip Oz so it could well happen smile

We are now in countdown mode to the biggest ever chipmusic event to hit Australian shores, and in our last SoundBytes for 2011 we want to remind you just how good the Australian talent is before we bring you international artists to compare with!
In association with Melbourne Music week, we’ve pulled together a combination of regulars, old favourites and a new discovery to bring you Melbourne’s most high energy, low tech audio experience.

With 4 different states being represented at the show, you’ll get an tasty mouthful of Aussie flavoured chip (and no, not the Vegemite kind, something even better!)

Adelaide’s Doctor Chipmusic himself, little-scale returns to Melbourne for the first time in over a year to show case exactly what he’s been up to in the last twelve months and has some amazing material to share.
From Sydney, Abortifacient gets back to Melbourne after playing amazing shows in Europe and Japan earlier this year to show off a bunch of brand spanking new material for its Melbourne debut.
The core of Brisbane’s chip scene dot.AY finds himself back in Melbourne, along with one of his Brisbane partners in crime Rubijaq, they will be fresh from supporting Daedelus on the Brisbane stop of his Aussie tour.
Of course we haven't forgotten the locals. After two blip festival performances in a year (which, for the uninitiated, is a pretty huge deal!) cTrix is back on the line up for show #10, as is Maddest Kings Alive playing material guaranteed to get you bouncing.

This will be the very last SoundBytes til our MASSIVE Two day Blip Festival shows in conjunction with 8bitpeoples in February, so start the festive season off right by getting your chip on.

PS - Between the recent zombie march, the new season of the Walking Dead and Halloween, Melbourne’s gone a bit zombie mad. We’re cashing in on this craze but it means you get an awesome poster. Enjoy smile iLKke is a genius.

Just saying, The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (here in Melbourne) will have an exhibition on the Best of the Independent Games Festival 2011 on Dec - March which may interest a bunch of you http://l.gamespot.com/sRGhGS
