Ah, the magic of adding real drums to a Game Boy. This is why I never liked using it alone.
Nice experiments, keep it up! I like the 1st one a lot.

Is anything wrong with getting a MIDI controler keyboard and connecting it to piano software on a computer? If not, I'd recommend teh Edirol PCR series. Get a big one, like 80 key.

Would have been useful if you explained why you would not use the easily available pads on the motherboard.

I have slept on this a bit. Work is hard until Feb.15, I dunno.

This one's old: http://www.pocketheaven.com/ph/wiki/Neo … ket_Linker
I have this one. Nowadays, it is very expensive.
The Neoflash team I think could easily make a neogeo pocket adaptation of their device though:

That NeoFlash thing isn't that expensive if you think of it. I'm not mentioning the older devices (like my NGPC linker which I treasure. For now tongue)

But there are NGPC and Wonderswan Flash solutions...

What difference does it make if it's from a location on the motherboard or directly from the chip? None. Yes, it will work but like but the SID chip is still at risk from spikes and other malarky.

Convenience or something blowing before it reaches the chip?

u need to buffer your output though if you plan to solder wires anywhere... just running the output pin to a jack puts your sid chip at risk.

That's why you DO NOT take the audio from the pin. There's PLENTY of points to get audio from at the motherboard without the need to do a buffer or any other sort of technical malarkey. Just solder a cable to the pad.

By the way, the EasyFlash page mentions the Ocean cartridges as carts that exceed the 16K limit. How did these work and what is the limit? They also have a version of The Last Ninja patched for EasyFlash that weighs 512KB. This could lead to nice multitracker cartridges i'd be interested in!
