Anyway, what did sound horrible at all in the video? I have some curiosity...:P

The GAMEBOY LOGO at the begining!
It's completely inaccurate.
I didn't know Visualboy Advance had such a lame sound output.
It sounds like absolute shit.
As long as you are checking the sound with a real unit, we can forget about this big_smile

Hmmm i¨m waiting for ikKLe to have some spare time, then i think we ll have a better font.

There's a load of charsets available already out there. What are the specifications? I can go through some of them.
You could use one of the Amiga tracker fonts, too! I could dump those to you right away and ILKke won't have to suffer designing one from scratch smile

Well the vu-s are not a definite yet. They dont work even, and they are there as placeholder for the moment.

Well I would consider transpose option in SONG sectr, instead of those VUs.

Thanks for listening!

I only have one thing in mind when I look at this thread: This 'release', which has been posted at the Releases section, "Where does it contain the music?" Which is basically what matters...
I guess the new wave is to 'release' stuff which isn't available yet. If that's the case, I have 10 albums ready for release.

Nope, that's the total game boy whore one, I have the lamer one. It's all gray, thinner, but still from Nintendo.

Is that emulator output? It sounds horrible.
By looking at the interface I can already come up with some suggestions.

- Make a key combination to go to the next track, like on a tracker on a computer, when you press TAB. going through all columns of each track to reach the next will easily get to someone's nerves (musicians are a crazy bunch, remember smile)

- A new font for notes. It's a bit weird to read (when you change to (D?)#8, for example).

- (What are those numbers going crazy on the top left?)

- What are the top "VU-like" things for? If it is each channel's volume meter as I suspect, I think it might be more useful to have a master level too, or exchange that for a master level. I wouldn't have it at all, but that's a preference (I would have more space for the song part and add pattern transposition to the song part)

This is looking really good man, god job to you and ILkke on the tracker. Keep it up!

I have one of those hard plastic, grey, original Nintendo Game Boy carry cases.
It accommodates perfectly one of my Game Boys, the LSDJ^MC2 I had built for me, a couple of carts, a battery for the MC2 and some cables.

But the hinges or locks tend to break, so after some gig abuse (like a 1 year tour tongue) the case will say "stop it", point at which you close it with duct tape xD

I tend to love everything in http://somafm.com
The problem is, their playlists don't get refreshed so often, so after a bunch of listens, you will have grown tired of it.
The music is skillfully selected though, everything goes well with the theme of the station. The curation is incredible.

In any case, I can never get enough of their stream called Secret Agent. It's just fantastic.
We also enjoyed a lot, in Christmas time, their Christmas radio. It was weird at best big_smile
For those relaxed times, Beat Blender or Cliqhop are tops.
What about Mission Control? "NASA historic mission broadcasts and live shuttle coverage (when in space) mixed with electronic ambient." How can you NOT like that? big_smile

SomaFm just rocks!

I do not like the table system, it's cryptic and inconvenient. In a VST world it would be better to have assignable LFOs instead. This makes me not want to use the software because I cannot create the complexity of instruments I would desire.

The rest is pretty spot on. I heard the SID was disappointing but I thought it was pretty cool.
Attention to detail and accuracy is high. Plogue rocks.

Are you from Milan? I didn't meet you when I played there with Tony and Pablito. Then again, there were like 10 people tongue

You are right tongue
I guess putting only one thread per user seems a bit stupid.
Autopruning would work better.

Is owning a full PA system really all that viable an option? hmm

I wouldn't say so.
But I always stress in my rider what sort of PA and Video equipment I precise fro the show. It is a requirement (except  on certain cases, I'm pretty lenient and consider the party and venue's limitations) to have good equipment and properly set up. This is not to be under looked, sometimes promoters hire the best equipment, but without an equally apt tech, they will be set up like shit.

I think that it is great to sit behind a laptop when you make the music, but if you are out on a stage, you goddamn better entertain these people. This generation is pretty OCD -people have very short attention spans, so you have to constantly be entertaining and constantly change the show.

I think this goes beyond the scope of a lot of people here who are too enthralled by the fact of HOW they make the music . I completely agree with you and my show has turned more away from the computer and gear and more onto the "pyrotechnics" of it. That's why it is audiovisual, to begin with and from a start. but I learned a lot from my Euro Tour in 2008. I don't give a fuck about people being able to see what I make music with or what I play live, I give a huge fuck about people getting entertained.

(As for contributing to *BC, well, I don't blame you. I swiftly erased everything I ever contributed there because the place turned to shit. My contributions are better aimed somewhere else (like here))

Use Links2 (assuming you're not running official firmware)  it's way better than the built-in browser,

Thanks for that, I will try it out. The default browser is indeed shit.,

However my request was extended to whatever mobile device we might have. PSP was an example. iPods and phones will surely benefit from such a thing too.

As I said, in a future...
