wouldn't a vst and sequencer be far less hassle to acquire and get working?

Then you're missing the whole point of this scene my friend.

In this thread, someone insults Bit Shifter, then someone else tells 4mat he missed the point of chipmusic.

Golden.

Thanks for this info!
I assume then that unless i put a new voltage regulator or something, I can't use a 9V battery. No problem about a wall charger, but if 5V os what is needed, i could power the GB from a USB port, can I not? How many amps does it drain?

I guess I can remove the board. I don't have and will not have a screen.
The LEDs you buy usually come with a pack of resistors wink

Do I need the DC converter board if I am going to power the DMG only with mains power?
What about connecting a 9V battery, will it work?
Or is the board for DC power and not the batteries?

I would also be glad to know where on the DMG-CPU-07 board I could connect a power LED.
Thanks!

Well, I hope you had a good one and returned fresh to release those binaries big_smile

Further testing deemed that if I use both pulse channels at the same time, there's VERY SERIOUS lagging in the MIDI signal. Any pulse with wav sounds OK,  any pulse with noise sounds OK, any pulse with wav AND noise sounds OK, but whenever both pulse channels are on, mGB goes down to the toilet.

I recorded a sound example for you.
In it, you hear one pulse channel, then the other, then the wave and then the noise.
Then I play a pulse, add the wave then add the noise. Remove one pulse, then add the other...

And for the end, I add both pulses to the combo.... and hear what happens. The very last part is just the two pulse channels playing together, nothing else:
***********

The only "effect" this has on is pitch bending. This is not a PC, soundcard or PC software failure.

That's not even really the artwork, it's just a cut down version of the whole thing (which is included in the ZIP file)

I thought this label was called Datathrash. I'm confused as to why those all say Datatrash.
Is that so you couldn't just use/steal their work? (not that I'd ever think you'd do something like that, egr heart )

Uhm, only ONE of the concepts says DATA TRASH.

I had a video cable that was SVideo. I guess it was the official one? It also worked in the Caanoo (with no audio)

Octamed 5's synthesis is horrible.
If you want synth, you should use Musicline or AHX. Then again, Musicline needs a beefier computer to run well, and AHX needs KS3+

Fucking win

Did anybody already watch this video tutorial?

What about this perfect rendition of Sonic's Green Hill Zone?

Nah, I am not interested in collecting junk anymore (even though I managed to get 2 more Amigas into my new house already xD). I sold all my stuff. And I *never* used my +3, which was kinda sad, but dealing with disk drives and shit is something I don't like to do anymore, so since I couldn't buy a divIDE, I just didn't use it at all. Loading from the tape connector was a pain that ended up in never being able to load anything properly with TAP2WAV or something like that (always ended in error). So, there.

Maybe, just maybe, at some point, I get a +3 back, They are pretty common here in the UK. But I'd NEVER use a ZX81 with that stupid keyboard. I don't even like the original 48K (sorry tongue). I need a real keyboard to work with big_smile

first of all, trackers are very logical and very mathematical.

here's a rule of thumb: if you don't/didn't make high marks in math, you may want to try using something else.

lol
The heavy math involved in tracking includes COUNTING and ADDITION. I really don't see what's "mathematical" about trackers besides what you need to be able to compose or improvise in general.

Here's the only thing you need to make cheapchoon:

I guess if the world wide web, youtube and internet tutorials existed in 1993 when I started, we wouldn't have any sort of cool chipmusic to hear nowadays.

By the way, the original poster has disappeared. Chances are he has foundeth the holy chiptune and is now famous like Anamanaguchi (wait, who are those again?)

THere are composite video cables on eBay. Haven't seen any SVideo ones though, makes me wish I didn't sell mine with my F200.
