See, to me this is really cool, since it's a sweet custom design. With some tinkering this could conceivably become a custom kit, since what's going on is the interpretation of the LCD data lines and just providing power etc. to the DMG board. Really slick stuff, good job! If you could find a source for FFCs that are just the same size as on the DMG then you could remove the pain of soldering the thing and just plug 'n play, so to speak. I think this is totally awesome.

You realise there is no date on this, right? Not that I'll ever be in London any time soon, but I don't see a date here.

Oh man, I have been waiting for this game in eager anticipation. Sounds fab!

Accepted. If enso accepts, I say he has to use the NES NTSC color pallet.

EDIT: and by collab- do both sides of the room have to join up? Or is that up to us?

What's cool to me is the release of the old ReBirth for free! I'm gonna go snag a copy and play around, it looks like a great little tool.

Oh, and the OS9 version is useful, for people like myself who are into old computers and would probably not have an issue running OS9 just for the fun of it. OS9 machines be cheap. smile

Drat! Foiled again!

Challenge Enso and UI to do a collab!

This! So, what's the challenge, I'll write it up?

Dude, that disasterpiece is just some pixel polygons with stippling and a liberal coating of pixel airbrushing. Nicely arranged/looks like an explosion, I know. But I think after looking closely at it that the technique could be reproduced without too much effort.

And that first one that everyone says is a bottle opener? It's a pachinko controller.

Actually, if you haven't learned to code yet, you might as well start at the bottom and learn machine language! smile

You need an SKROM board, MMC1. See my donor list, it's in this thread. You'll need two EPROMs, I suggest 27C020 Eproms. You'll need two 32 pin sockets. You'll need this wiring diagram: http://nesdev.parodius.com/NES EPROM Conversions.txt

You'll need an STK16C88 NVSRAM. And some DPST switches for the hi-low bankswitching circuit.
