personally what bothers me more is when artists that were never even chiptune related to begin with are labeled as chiptune. yo know like, when someone just throws a couple square waves in their music. but i guess first you gotta define what "chiptune" is to you.

i find that i can't fully appreciate something i've written until long after its done. i guess cuz i've listened to the song hundreds of times while making it i'm almost kind of sick of hearing it. i don't think it has to do with nostalgia.

man this is incredible. so much wailing. i love it. looking at some of these ftms briefly its crazy some of the shit that is done here to give the songs a more human sounding element - the varying tempo, the slightly off pitch sample for the second kick drum/beater (seriously who the hell even thinks to do that lol!) , the flams on some of the fills, etc... really adds to the sound!

Finally done! After what feels like way too long. I can't even begin to count how many songs ended up getting canned, but here are what i felt were the best of what I've written these past two years. This is the follow up to my first EP which continues the "story line" (don't worry about anything you might have missed if you didn't listen to it. It's not important. Really i was just looking for another reason to have my friend do his master splinter impersonation

This site is actually already halfway there. all songs have tags. problem is i think people come here for forums first, music second. It sounds like you are basically looking to streamline the process of sifting through all the chipmusic out there to find what you like, which i can get behind. personally i'm not really a fan of reddit (from a format standpoint), but i do like last.fm. If you want my two cents, i'd actually like to see another site more along the lines of 8bc, just better organized, and with the features you mentioned. Like, being notified of new music from artists and/or genre(s) of your liking, a filter to only show music of a certain type/genre, a find/play more music like this button,etc. I like where your head is at. I'm def interested to see where this goes.
