i would suggest using a CNC router. I know maple is really soft, and oak is super strong.

i won an ebay auction for a green dmg, and when it was time to ship, the lady explained that it doesnt work, and if she wanted me to still have it. she sent it to me, free. best auction ever. i went on modding it and it got a new home, where it shortly died *kinetic turtle* cough cough)

But uh, I tested it out with headphone jacks instead, and much to my expectation the sound was quieter than the prosound jack produces. I don't really know what to think of this. It seems to work kind of like it should? *shrug*
