I wonder how many accounts will just go dead from no activity thereafter....

Yeah I was thinking about getting an old-timer lappy and use it for trackers. not sure why.... asthetics? I just think classic laptops are cool I guess. most do not have a functional battery even tongue they just work from the wall. If anything I would love to run one straight command line (linux) and run a tracker from that (not sure how realistic this is). old laptop >> command line >> trackers >> yes, please.

on a side note would I be able to surf chipmusic.org from lynx or Elinks? :3

yes. that is how I use it. you just need to arm the tracks and record and while you are playing then fiddle with them knobs. works best if you have a midi controller I guess but a mouse works.

you can split left and right audio tracks in LSDJ and in ableton take each in separately and turn each into a mono feed so that you can have two different effects to play with on two different instruments.

RUGRATS

so when you look for a laptop do you specifically look for soundblaster? I had no idea laptops had soundblaster cards in em back then.

hey here is a thought: get yourself a cheap laptop? like something rather old. these old PCs can probably run older tracker software like Milky Tracker or Famitracker.

I am only on the second song and I am extremely impressed here. This release is phenomenal. There is such a playfulness you have with the music that it just feels so refreshing.... liberating even? You seem like a guy who is really free when creating music. I love it. I am completely psyched to hear more of this amazing release. I already know the whole thing will be solid. (PS. you should be selling this)

EDIT: finished.... fuck yeah!

there really is a huge demand for NES music tools right now. this is a huge accomplishment. thank you.

can I ask why the two laptops? also does adlib tracker require much processing and ram power to run well?

are there any cart readers out there that can rip the rom and sav from nanoloop? I know Jose once had some sort of reader out there with the first run of bleep bloop carts (non usb). but I cannot find them around anymore. someone should make a GB cart reader if there are none out there.

you could buy a used gameboy from a video game store for like 15 bucks. a 64 ems cartridge costs like 40 bucks. lsdj rom costs 2 bucks. total cost: 57 bucks.

if you have a little extra try out a gameboy advance SP. the screen is backlit and the sound is ok (you will also need one of these http://tinyurl.com/4o3ynf2 ) plus there is a rechargeable battery inside so you dont have to worry about double A batteries. it would add about 20 - 30 bucks more to that price tag though since they go for anywhere between 30 - 50+ but overall the sp is pretty convenient. I would say it is my most ideal method of composing with LSDJ.
