Every act this year, that I saw was phenomenal! Can't say the same about the staff at the venue.

this place sounds stuffy and lame. no re-entry, no crowd surfing, $12 for a beer?

I will be there, and because my hours at work suck, I may be attending pre and after parties this year.

I'll be there without being there, same as every year.

Noise has no pitch, luckily the noise channel has some pitch, so you can use pitch sweeps to approximate percussion out of it. Set the note to a high octave and fuck around with the sweep command. Use envelopes to taste. Once you get comfortable with that start fucking around.

This.

It wold be great to make a cart with a SID chip on the board. Then run the SID audio out the 1 line to the DMG, with LSDJ running 7 channels! FRANKENCHIP!

This has been my cream dream since i heard about the vin input.

No one has attempted to do this yet?

Yeah,  nanoloop 1.5 used it

I wish I could still get a Nanoloop 1.5 cart. I heard the extra channel was nothing to write home about, but I would have still liked to check it out.

This was an amazing 8static! I haven't been proud of playing a set in a very long time! You guys were awesome! I know this was a good 8static because my neck and back are still sore!

I AM EXCITE! First full set at 8static, and this will be my best set in a LONG time! heart U FILLY!

I second this! But I would like to see a Jersey/Philly show as mentioned in the Blip thread. :]

the price is nice!

Yep. No longer paying $80 - $90 for a Nanoloop cart.

I made this map so I don't have to keep loading up HopStop and getting directions. I put as many venues as I could think of on here (including Gramercy Theater). Also, Criff Dogs and The Brooklyn Brewery are on there just because I love them. If you want me to add you as a collaborator so you can add venues that I might have missed, PM me here, or on FB or Twitter. I hope this helps the out-of-towners a lot.

Never been to NYC, can anyone recommend a good place to crash for the festival that won't be too outrageously expensive but relatively close to the event?

The Gershwin is very close and very inexpensive for NYC! I stayed there in 2007 and considering what I make in a year, I thought it was very affordable. See if any other out-of-towners are booking a room there. Group rates are cheap. :]

Psssh. Last years Blip prevented the return of Jesus, killed Macho Man *and* had a 10k performance.

You've got some pretty big shoes to fill 2012 lineup.

This.
