This is Mazzy. I no longer have her since my former roommate took her when he moved out. She's named after the band Mazzy Star.

This is Nanako (Facundo calls her Disassembler-cat). She's named after the character from Shin-Chan.

This is Callum. I've had him for a few months. He was given to me after a friend couldn't take care of him. She named him.

Wichita State University offered an Assembly Language course which used the Z80 microprocessor and the GameBoy platform to introduce general concepts of computer architecture, machine and assembly language programming.

I wish every college/university offered introductory programming courses that used hardware such as the Game Boy.

I agree, dude. I agree. But I disagree if that was sarcasm. Hah.

But I love winter. :[ May seems more fitting though. Maybe now I'll be able to get more of my friends to attend since they won't be stressing over finals. I am excited! This also means I have more time to save money! big_smile

AGM, Bit Shifter, Bubblyfish, Cream In All Mustache, JDDJ3J, Starmelt and Zombectro have all inspired me to squeeze whatever I can out of my Nanoloop carts!

Also: what are you recording?  Is it an electric device that's plugged into a wall?  Is the netbook running off of AC power as well?  If so, it's a ground loop.  Try simply running the netbook off batteries while you're recording and that will take care of it.

Just Nanoloop on a normal DMG. I think I've had the netbook plugged in when I record. I'll try unplugging it when I record next time and see if that helps.

I'm sure someone on here can solve this relatively easily. I've been using my roommates netbook to record as of late, since my comp's out of commission. I've been using Audacity, and whenever I record I get a lot of excess noise from the input. I've tried lowering the mic volume settings in Volume Control and Audacity, but I always seem to get a lot of noise when recording. Would this be an issue with audio settings in audacity or something with the netbook's hardware settings? I'm guessing the latter since I've never had this issue with audacity on any computer before.

Haha. Thanks dude. I have at least 6 tracks like this on my carts. A few solid loops then I'm like, "Ugh! Don't know where to go from here."

I'm almost satisfied with the S and N channels on this track. I think parts might sound too disjointed, but maybe adding something on the R or L channels will help that. I removed the first six second (which is just the noise channel), since Audacity's noise removal plug-in was causing problems.

This is a work in progress, so feedback is much appreciated.

Dise suggested this: "my thought for the r and l channel would be to maybe go 1.2 style and try going for a really nice phasing lead of some sorts, I just think that this one will sound good with a minimal style, make that bass standout like it should."

I was also thinking that dropping the bass and just having kicks plus the noise channel (with melodies or fm on R and L) might work for some parts. Even with the changes on the N channel, I think the kick and bass combo might be a bit monotonous.

I'm sad. I thought this was about the two new versions coming out. But I'm sure White would have been included in the thread title if that was the case.

I love the expiration date! big_smile

Completely unintentional, but awesome nonetheless. :]
