It seems I'm not welcome here, and that I've misunderstood you all.  Sorry for wasting all your time then, I'll go elsewhere.

You're most definitely welcome here, no one's yelling at you to leave.

I think they just want more of a cut is all. You can negotiate pricing changes with them privately or just publicly here. Maybe talk with BR1GHT PR1MATE, since he actually makes music for games and could discuss with you possibilities for your store? I'm not speaking for him, I'm just giving you simple ideas to be successful here.

Same! I was such a scrub when I went to Blip last year that I didn't know anyone.

Most EDM these days seems like it's being made by people who wanted to be rock stars but spent their time in Ableton/Logic/Reason instead.

This, though it's not always such a bad thing. There are some artists out there that only use laptops and music production programs to make amazing sounding music. Again, there are always exceptions, but you're right. With the lowered barrier of entry that the internet and lower-priced programs and/or piracy have caused, more and more non-exceptional artists are flooding the scene in an attempt to be just like their idols. That's where you get shitty mashups, covers, and remixes that become popular as fuck: because they're familiar.

Meandering bullshit aside, a lot of shitty people are flooding most genres of music and the internet is just making it easier. There are just as many (if not more) amazing electronic/EDM artists out there now, you just have to wade through the septic tank that is the modern music industry to get to them.

Yeah, that's definitely a better solution than having to sift through this forum (search function or not) to find help when you first join.

I like music that sounds good, it doesn't matter if the melody is complex or if the instruments are whatever. It's all about how the song actually sounds.

This and I like most electronic music, EDM or not. I like old dubstep just as much as I like good brostep, drumstep, anythingstep. Again, as long as something is good (which means that everything in the song works together), I like it, regardless of genre. That's still pretty subjective, but I find a lot of new songs, artists, and styles that I never thought I'd like, specifically because I'm looking at content, not categories.

I do like certain genres more than others. I got really into Goa a few months ago, getting back into drum/brostep now. I've always liked House (Chicago and French), IDM has always just been a bit too...weird for me. I dunno, I could just never get into it. A few rare exceptions here and there, but mainly House, general Techno, (Goa) Trance, *step, breakbeat, gabber, hardcore, happy hardcore (like Renard), and other good music.

Because I have nothing better to do, here's a list of everything everyone's said in here so far. Links to where you can download each of them, unless I couldn't find it.

does anyone get the feeling that there has been an absolutely huge amount of releases and they've all sunk within a week of opening? one or two of you must be musicians who intended to make works which shook the world and, well, we're just making each other tremble very briefly

because it's not like every release is dynamite nahwahmean?

This. It just seems that there's a glut of releases right now, but that could just be because it's the summer... Meh, A LOT of good chip has been released in the past month and a half, so each release's impact is sorta lessened.

do you get any error or at least something showing up?

Yup.

It's weird, I've tested it on other computers, and it's fine. It's not an extension problem for Chrome, since it doesn't work on any browser with this comp. Weird...

EDIT: Checked Windows Firewall, deleted Chrome, readded Chrome. Still not working. Not really something for you to fix, probably just a problem with this laptop.

Hmm...I can't load the page. Is Chrome just not supported yet?

Man, this is so good. Nevermind. Helios>Selene>Eos is fucking amazing.

Just wondering: Did you mean to keep the track numbers in the name of the songs?
