Get oot here motherfucker.

I am thinking about grabbing some screenshots of my favorite NES games / moments and blowing them up to print and frame them. Anyone done this? Also what would be the best way to do this? I know NES screen shots from emulators are teeny tiny.

What emulator / file format / upscaling technique should I use to make sure the quality stays nice and crisp?

Nanoloop is limited as shit.

I was kinda astounded that NL 2.3 / 5 only have square waves.

Is the tank on the move again?

Try this : https://twitter.com/MasterKOHTA/status/ … 81/photo/1

I will have al ook at this Saturday evening an report back!

Easy solution, make a sticky in the cc forum. Lock any threads which are posted by people who haven't read said sticky. Alternatively mods post a quick "please read the sticky and edit your threads topic and op accordingly, thanks heart"

Any audio samples?

I have one word for you "knifecityslamdunklifestyle"

And what saskrotch said, drops are a writing style and are platform agnosic

Does the Nanokontrol work if you send midi CC to another source? if you get super stuck, PM me your ableton file (I have live, a nanokontrol2 and genMDM) I will try and figure it out.

Just had a quick spin through the CC forum and had a couple of thoughts. Most of the topics are variations of :

Topic : "here is a track, please give me some CC"

OP : "hey guys, I just wrote a track, what do you think?"

This is all well and good but it is a bit hard (for me at least) to know what angle to approach giving CC from. I think the CC forum should be about improving tracks and helping members of the community be better musicians. It is a bit hard for me to know how to help this poster so I am much more likely to get lost in a reddit click trance. Consider :

Topic : "How can I improve the structure in this c64 House tune?"

OP : "I like the sound design and the mix of this tune but I feel the track meanders a bit, I am not really sure how to transition from my verse to my chorus and I don't know how to end the song"

Nice and clear, eliminates a lot of things from the equation and give the CCer specific areas to focus on, thread title more likely to attract C64 users, house fans and structure experts.

Or

Topic "How can I toughen up the kick drum in this LSDJ track?"

OP "The kick drum seems to be a bit buried in the mix, any hints on how I can make it punchier? I think it gets particularly lost around 1:20 - 1:40 when the loud bass comes in."

Clear title, likely to attract LSDJ users with a knowledge of production

Or if you don't have a specific problem and want general feed back, take a pen and paper, listen to your track a few times write down 3 things you are happy with and three things you are less happy with, this narrows the range of things potentially helpful people will be listening for.

Topic : "Could I get some feedback on this FM funk track?"

OP : "I like the drums and the melody a lot, I think the chorus works well and the vocal samples work. I am less sure about the verses, the bassline and the mix."

Pretty vague title still but is likely to attract people who like FM (me) and people who like funk (me) who want to see more good FM funk. Also I am specifically thinking about verses, bassline and mix while listening. In general, if you are clear about what YOU as an artist think about your track there is a better chance other people will too!

ps : Thread title brought to you by the department of redundancy department.

Were the shipping not absurdly impractical I would be all over the 02* approved pcs.

Thread over. Thanks very much!

I have a few items to trade.

Couple of quick notes, I work a lot so I can only ship things Thusdays and Saturdays, wont be able to ship anything this Thursday. Also I am in Japan, shipping from here takes a week to 10 days to most places. PM or post with questions!

Im looking for :

- 2 US NES consoles, not super concerned about the cosmetic conditional as long as it is reasonable but I would like them to be in good working order.
- a powerpak
- an edirol V4 (obviously unlikely a v4 owner would want all this stuff specifically but part trade part cash or something could work!)
- a decent composite to VGA / HDMI converter, ie something to display NES on a modern monitor
- A caanoo joystick / broken caanoo with working joystick. My stick broke....

I have a few other bits I will add later!

The outlook is smooth and in-style. An one of a kind accessory for iPods. Available only in Japan.

Couple of caveats you might want to be aware of :

The unit has 4 little rubber feet, one is about 3 mm too short so the unit wobble slightly
The unit is noisier than I expected.
No LED
The "monitor volume" is a bit misleading, it monitors the Left side and right side of the headphone output NOT the left and right inputs.
Battery case is very tight.
