Re: GB USB software for win 7 [Solved!] (7 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
for 64bit operating systems here is the driver download link. you will also need this program to install the 64bit drivers.
Did you use the aforementioned program to install said drivers or did you just skip that part without reading anything and install the drivers balls out?
windows 7 requires that the files have digital signatures, so the way
around this is to use the additional software (downloadable above) and put
the OS in to 'test mode', which is what developers use to try new drivers
without having to have them registered (and whatnot) for the signature to
be accepted. with the OS in test mode, you use the same software to sign
whatever files you need. restart your computer, and while still in test
mode, your software should work fine. this is the workaround to use the
software with windows 7, since the driver isn't digitally signed. that's
the general answer. if you are still having problems, e-mail us and we
will address your particular concerns that way, but the answer above is the
general issue people have with windows 7.

Re: Have you seen this website in IE 7? (15 replies, posted in Bugs and Requests)
At some point devs have to take a stand and stop supporting these dinosauric browsers. I support this 100%. Instead of complaining to the web devs who refuse to support it, complain to your system administrators who refuse to upgrade to upgrade a 9 year old browser.
Frankly I think it's embarrassing that for some reason sys admins get away with keeping that piece of shit around. If the devs at my work flat out refused to work in any code base beyond VB 6 or Java then they'd be slapped and called an idiot and shouted down for being completely out of touch and stuck in the past. Personally I don't see the difference between that scenario and sys admins refusing to support current browsers.

Anyone else realised yet that it has ZERO to do with anything 8bit/low-bit/retro-tech/chiptune?
Unless I'm missing something...

Yeah... pretty much. I get the feeling this was meant for a cinema screening.

Don't be afraid to have an opinion man!
This is my number one gripe with "the scene" in general. Thankfully I've never come accross that problem in my own backyard. Hopefully I never will.
