I would also like to release some more "adorably useless" fonts but I didn't know if anyone besides myself would appreciate them.

I appreciate them plenty, I just do it from a distance. wink

You might consider just emailing the retrousb dude - sometimes he takes a long time to respond, but he's friendly and helpful, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had extra cart shell stock lying around to sell.

kitsch-bent is waiting on a box of them. To my knowledge he'll be the first US seller to carry them.

MAJOR updates. Bunch of gameboy gear for sale, flash carts and a reader and an arduinboy.
Also for some reason I had deleted the MPC500 which is still available, but still had some stuff listed which was long gone...

ughhhh you stiiiillll have the gieskes... I have so many other things I need more than that...

I keep convincing myself not to buy it under the reasoning that KeFF can get it first.

I've used Arduinoboy with a variety of Electribe models as either master or slave. Get an arduinoboy and you'll be set.

Dude, no need to apologize. This whole project is amazing! Bummed to be a casualty of war, but it's obviously no your fault. Thanks for your help!

Was actually about to post one for sale for $45 shipped CONUS, PM me if that interests you? I can send photos.

I did use HT's save function; it was behaving weirdly actually, for awhile it was stacking new versions into different slots every time I saved, but after I deleted the extras it started keeping the current song in one slot.

I had one other unimportant song saved in slot 1.

I'm trying to reproduce... anything, but for some reason when I tried to reinstall HT it's giving me a syntax error on load... I think I might have a different version of the shell installed, so I'll try to change that later and give it another go.

You can get a PSP 2001 for $60 or less - GameStop is a surefire way to get one, you can usually talk them down on their price. Then you can have LGPT with money left over - enough to buy a kaoss product, or another fx thingie.

OR, you could consider an NES and a powerpak. The powerpak approaches $100, but a working NES can be had super cheap with a little elbow grease. Then you could run NTRQ/Pulsar/anything Neil Baldwin made.

Thanks for getting back! I'm on 83+, v 0.3

I didn't turn off the calculator, but I was trying to quit the tracker with the intent to turn off the calculator, and it the calc rebooted on its own, and cleared RAM. sad

Oh god, help

I wrote a pretty complex piece, and literally moments after I finished it, I tried to quit the tracker (literally thinking "it's probably safest if I turn the calculator off) and it crashed, the calculator rebooted and cleared RAM.

houston tracker disappeared, but DoorsCS7 is still installed, and it claims that it saved my "folders and preferences" - so, am I totally fucked, or is the song data stored in preferences, and maybe if I'm lucky, reinstalling the tracker will give me my piece back? I figured I'd ask before trying so I don't fuck it up worse...

anyone else still having issues creating new projects on the psp build? doesn't seem to be working on the psp go i just bought

Yes - I can't create new projects and I can't import samples from the library on PSP2001 or PSP1001. It's like the pig forgot how to work with the filesystem? Glad to hear I'm not the only one at least. smile

someone may come along with a more comprehensive answer, but here's the fast one:

cheapest and easiest to get option for flash carts is EMS' 64M USB enabled cart, which you can buy at kitsch-bent.com or nonelectronics.com and maybe other places. You can load LSDJ on one bank and mGB on the other bank. It's sometimes a smidge finicky about switching banks but it's usually fine. Loading stuff on them can be tricky, you've got to have a windows machine and I guess on newer versions of Windows the drivers can be sticky? But if you work at it you'll figure it out and there's a lot of info out there about it. Also if you pay for your LSDJ license ahead of time,

drag 'n' derps are sortof seen as the holy grail of carts for music - they only take one piece of software at a time, but it's really easy to swap it out, just takes seconds, works with any computer. Costs twice as much as the EMS tho. You can get them straight from the maker at derpcart.com

there's also an everdrive for gameboy which can load tons of software and has a menu, it's more targeted for gamers, but it should work fine for music. They just came out so nobody has really used them yet, but everdrive products have a really good rep. I ordered one from retrogate but I'm still waiting on it to arrive so I can't say much about it.

The only other software you might want to think about for now is LittleFM which really helps out with song management, especially if you don't have a transferring solution, read about it here: http://blog.gg8.se/wordpress/2013/02/04 … -released/

I had that experience too. In fact at one point I went into a gamestop on a whim to see if they had any, and the guy said "no, but you should talk to that guy on his way out the door" - the dude had just sold back all of his prior gen gaming stuff, but they wouldn't buy the PSP1001 at all, so he just gave it to me.

I guess that speaks to how overburdened they are with the things... I wouldn't be surprised if you could talk a manager down in price, too.
