ugggghhh where are people finding these green gameboy carts? I'm super desperate for one!!

Smartboys, non-USB bleepbloops, ASM MCB5 carts or diy zeigler-style carts will all work for you

bleepbloops and ASM MCB5s are gonna be a little tough to get, although ASM sometimes has secret stock of stuff that . A lot of people have been building Zeigler carts lately so there's probably a lot of help to be had if you are up to tackling a project like that.

Truly this must be the best of all possible worlds.

I knew this would be the best thread ever as soon as I saw the title. Keep it up you guys!

Unfortunately it doesn't look like much since most of the hard work is hidden underneath the cartridge connector. wink

Added a Speak & Read. Dropped some prices.

I AM LOOKING FOR a blue DMG power switch and a green DMG a/b button - opaque and ideally matte finish (close to PiL colors). Just individual loose buttons. Will buy or trade for - will exchange a rather unruly amount for those particular buttons if they are just what I need.

I'm using it, just not using it on stage yet. wink

So that I'm actually contributing to the thread and not just snarking, here's an MJP rig I put together but haven't started actually using yet. It's built into a turntable roadcase, small and light enough to check on an airplane without extra fees. All power supplies and most cabling are hidden beneath a thin wooden platform that all the gear sits on.

This photo features gameboys that have since been modded beyond recognition, handmade GenMDM, and the wrong arduinoboy.

Besides, how many bags do you usually carry your shit in? Do you just leave them scattered all around the venue in order to assure some loss, but minimize the quantity?

I've had great luck repurposing old road cases originally built for live audio mixers. As long as the hardware is good, it's usually a good deal to find at a surplus store or the like.

I can sell you screws as well.

Also, a US company called Moody Tools makes a high quality tri-wing driver that costs about $14. It's a great tool.
