I bought a Maddest Kings Alive cd in an awesome Sydney record store - I later found out when speaking to him that he drop-lifted it a while before.
Awesome.

This show already happened and I forgot to tell anyone here. I like to be on top of what other people are doing, so I thought I would post this here in case any of you are the same...
It was good fun. Played with a bunch of non-chip crew. Cops came just before my set because bands were playing outside and it was too loud. We moved the PA inside for me to play and I wanted to post these two photos in the gig thread and it wasn't here, so I made a thread.
Some random took these... thanks random punter "Anna Carroll" and the guy who put the show on for being awesome and tagging me in them!
These photo can be found in her facebook album "Photos - Lovefest 2010"
This was during "Leaving Home".
I found this hard hat, clock and shoelace at the start of my set, at the house.

Thanks guys!

Did you have to get an anti-venom shot, or were you ok? I'm a bit fascinated by spiders, but you guys seem to have gotten all the nasties- sorry if the artwork conjured any unpleasant memories.
I know this is getting blown out of proportion by media (as usual), but I've watched a documentary on venomous animals the other day, and 95% of the sentences started with "In Australia..."
I picture this emergency station with a row of guys holding signs saying Funnel Web, Inland Taipan, Box Jellyfish and Death Adder, and a nurse handing you Redback and asking you to get to the end of the line
Because I am no poes I was fine with just some saline in my veins. Got itchy as fuck though.
We do have a lot of things that kill you in Australia. But really, not that many people die from these things. To not get stung by jellyfish, you don't swim where there are jellyfish. To not get eaten by a croc, you don't hang about in creeks in North Queensland. To not get fucked up by snakes, you wear closed footwear and you stick to the path anywhere that might have a snake. To not get bitten by a Funnelweb, you don't poke them with shit (deadshits at my uni forgot this one but somehow got away with it). To not get bitten by Redbacks you put on gloves when you are moving outdoor furniture for your mum (something I will remember to do next time). To not get eaten by a Great White, you don't live in South Australia.
I didn't really sell it, did I? I should say that pretty well all of these creatures only fuck you up as a last line of defense when they are threatened by you.
The kill count is low, is what I am getting at. Our road toll is much higher than all of these things put together.
Oh, great release too! haha.
A++, would rant again.

I think fame can come for a number of reasons.
I am pro-fame when one hasn't earned it by conforming to what the masses want.
There are people on this here forum who are what I would call famous and they have become so by doing what THEY want, on their terms.
I believe their reach, longevity and dignity are going to last our far more than someone who gargles balls for a record deal.
As I have said, if I was offered a deal, fuck yeah I would take it, but I think what e.s.c. could be saying is that he believes that these guys have compromised "the art of chip" a bit more than he would ever be prepared to. Too much gimmick...
Was I close e.s.c.?

It has been a massive pain to get us all on stage lately.
Time to cull some of the "less active" members.
/me cocks shotgun.

What the fuck? You don't know these people. "They got singed. They sold out man!" Go back to making awesome avatars.
So I take it you dig them Darcy?
Musical taste is subjective, so don't get too riled up about that here. As mentioned above, keep the hate at h8bc.
However, you are right, being signed does not mean selling out.
