I've got one that I'm willing to part with. No major dings or scratches and the text is fully intact. Shoot me an offer!

Re: LED in place of speaker? (10 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Are you trying to achieve sound-reactive LEDs? That's what you'll get if you attach an LED to the wires, but the LED will likely be very dim and may not even light up at all.

Done.
Cheers!
By the way, there's multiple requests in this thread of things we've already started making. Most of which is passed the prototyping phase and only pending final manufacturing. Won't say what they are yet though.

Black start/select buttons available on eBay.
I wondered about these. Has anyone bought them? I would assume they're dyed, but they look new.

You may also run into issues if your wires are too long. But the fact that Tetris is working seems to indicate that it's a wiring issue.

Tetris is just a 32kb rom, no memory bank controller. Pokemon is MBC3 + Ram, links awakening is MBC5 + Ram. There's just some bad wiring somewhere, time to whip out the continuity tester!

thats bs i watched my friend make one of those cables and it worked on both of ours dmgs perfectly
That means you used a DMG-07 cable, which aren't available in wholesale and average around $10.
Do the math.

Yup, those are being restocked. They've just gotta ship to our location.
The red screen covers, which someone also asked, are being restocked too. Same thing, they've just got to be relocated.
New speakers would be cool - lately we've been working on completely new products instead of repair/mod gear. Sort of taking the shop in a different direction. Though there'll be some cool new mod gear added soon.

Would it be possible to make backlights with an LED in each corner of the panel so that the light is very evenly distributed?
Sort of, but it won't be an improvement, just redundant power consumption. This is typically only done with really long backlights.
By the way, we take product requests too!

The only way around it is to remove the plastic frame, or buy a thinner backlight. You typically have to ease off on the front PCB screws to avoid making the plastic bulge.

It'll work with one, yeah.
I'm restocking soon. Next batch is a different color with a better PCB.

Some kits in the last batch were faulty, there's a thread about this already. Shoot me an email through the contact form and I'll get this resolved.
