Nice, but there's no charging involved with this, so it's not a charger.

I made one of these a while back too. I hacked up a 'car charger' (also not a charger) because the thing barely worked anyway.

Awesome, thanks! I'd really appreciate that. If you'd like a black and white version of the image, I can get one to you.

I sent a request a while back but never heard back from you. Was it too tough?

Was looking for a remade version of this:

Or just simple text as an alternative.

I needed it for this: https://8bc.org/items/images/triforceba … colors.jpg

Ended up going with LSDj, but I'm making a new one with our new backlights soon, and it'd be cool to have a custom rom for demos in general.

Here's the pre-order link for the kits:

http://apeshit.bigcartel.com/product/pc … -pre-order

The price went up even higher on the jacks so the price of the kits will unfortunately have to be raised. The price increase with happen on Friday. I did the math and at this price, I'm just barely breaking even with them. (But taking sample rates into consideration, I'm actually not breaking even)

After the pre-orders are done, these will not be sold as kits. There may be another run in the future, but as of right now, a pre-order is the only way to get one, then the remaining ones will be exclusive to my commissions.

Negative would connect to ground.

Taking it apart and re-assembling it numerous times may have wrecked the ribbon cable that connects the two boards together, which could explain these problems. This is a common problem that not a lot of people seem to realize. It sounds to me like there's a bad connection between the boards, and the thing about removing the speaker was just a coincidence.

Anyway, again, solder to pre-pot. It's not affected by the volume pot (hence pre-pot) and you can just turn the volume down to mute the speaker without affecting the pro sound output.  There's no point in removing the speaker with a pro sound mod.

Edit: Or hopefully you just didn't plug the ribbon cable in, as Kitsch said.
