I had this moment where everything just clicked when I listened to the first completed demo of this song. It was the first time I was able to listen to a song I had written (in this case, co-written) and think "this is EXACTLY the type of song I've been wanting to make for years".

Somehow your music makes a lot more sense to me now.

My NES + prog rock band Marshall Art just released a live recording of our first ever performance as a digital download. The bandcamp release is FREE to download but only includes the first three songs. All other digital music stores have an extra cover song which we've licensed through Loudr.fm.

might try putting a new screen in and one of these:  http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread … io-circuit

I put one of these into the Genesis model 3 I bought at 8static Fest (the model 3 doesn't have stereo output unless you add an additional amp, so I figured why not get something good?)
Installation was pretty straight forward, the image guides on the Sega-16 forums show exactly which components need to be removed from the Genesis PCB and the soldering points to use.  It didn't specify a place to connect the 5V and GND, though: I went with the same connection points as the standard audio amp.

It sounds niiiiice. I went with the unfiltered version of helder's PCB version of the amp, and I'm glad because I love how clear the high end is compared to a typical Genesis.
Here's an audio recording from my setup: the main table theme from Dragon's Fury:

Proud to have been a part of this release!

Also, Dino Lionetti is the master at writing in unconventional time signatures.

This song goes has sections in 9/4, 17/8, 4/4, and sections that make me get too frustrated when I try to count them out even though I co-wrote the fuckin' song.

Two videos of my international chiptune / post rock band Marshall Art performing it's debut set at MAGFest.  Featuring live, real time visuals by the sun setting over the Potomac. wink

I've got a few in my collection that I haven't seen specifically mentioned here.
http://terrafirmarecords.bandcamp.com/a … -life-form - Temp Sound Solutions - Pain Based Lifeform 7"
most of that record is straight-up instrumental punk rock, but Ponoca is a collaboration with ilkae.

http://www.discogs.com/Starscream-Futur … se/2921415 Starscream – Future, Towards The Edge Of Forever 2x12"
figured that one would be obvious.

http://www.discogs.com/Various-Battle-O … ase/899817 Battle Of The Bits Winter Chip I 7"

http://thebrainrecords.bandcamp.com/alb … h-ltnissen Frederik Schikowski - In Geordneten Verhältnissen 12"
a little hesitant to count this as chiptune, but that's what the genre tag on discogs says... besides, it's a great album.

I also have a 12" lathe cut of http://michaelzucker.bandcamp.com/album … ngs-horses but that was limited to 5 copies, good luck finding one of those.

I figure the four Anamanaguchi records are obvious.  Dawn Metropolis goes for a ridiculously high price these days and I'm still on the hunt for a copy.  (I ordered one back when they were still for sale on their webstore, but never did get one and got a refund a year later...)

I got some really nice deep drone sounds in the NSF for Marshall Art's Ready For Prime Time, Bitch
Here's the solo NSF. I'm particularly proud of the noise channel stuff at around 5:30.

This should help.
