I found a topic on 8BC earlier where someone said it should be set to EPP mode, but that didn't work for me.
Should I have done something different?

I have the little blue mini-cd it came with labeled "GB TRANSFERER 2", which has three different programs on it:
Both the 2k/XP version and 98/ME version of "GB Smart Writer(transfer 2)", and "XLinker 4.1".
I've tried each of them already.
And yeah, I've got the switch in GB mode. I tried both GB and GBA anyway, just in case, and still no progress.
hmm

Hopefully the title caught your attention.
I need some help with this.

I recently acquired a bunch of 32M smart cards, and two transferer IIs, and I can't get them to work.
I'm probably just missing a small step somewhere, or doing something out of order, and that's why it isn't working, but I've tried everything I can think of and still can't figure it out.
I just keep getting Error 452: connection problems.

List of things I've tried to fix it:
-using a different transferer
-using a different cable to hook it up
-using different computers. (FIVE DIFFERENT COMPUTERS. Two with XP, two with Win98, one with Win95)
-using a different cart.
-UserPort and GiveIO, though I could've done it wrong, the instructions for those weren't very clear, either.

Can someone give me instruction on how exactly to use these, so I can see if I'm doing something wrong?

Also, I also got two other carts. tone has a label that says "16M Flash" and has lightning in the background, the other has the same label, but there's a plain blue label over it that says "16M Flash Pro for PC-Linker".
Will these work with the Transferer II, or do they use something else?
(I have one of those funky looking printer-port-to-Gameboy-link cables, too. Maybe they use it, but I can't figure out how to use that, either.)

Help, please?

How much space do we have to work with? (pixel x pixel measurement)
I've got an idea but I'm not sure how well it'd work.
EDIT: d'oh, 160 x 144? I'll see if I can put something together.

TheJorsh dot tumblr dot com
Because last time I posted it regularly on a forum I got a ton of crap spam followers.
I actually joined pretty recently, so I don't have much on there right now, but whatever.
And yeah I totally stole one of Thretris' pictures for my background because I couldn't think of anything else to put there.

So I tried to email you about the DMG, but apparently your email address doesn't exist.
Sending it to you in a PM now.

(copypasta'd from 8bc, I'll probably get a better response here)
So I've been wanting a KP3 for a while now, and now I've got the money for one. But recently it was pointed out to me that there's now a Kaoss Pad Quad. It looks pretty sweet, but any info I'm finding using Korg's site and Google is pretty vague.
I know quite a few of you guys use Kaoss Pads and the like, so I figured I could ask here.
Which do you consider better, the Kaoss Pad Quad, or the Kaoss Pad 3?
I suppose that because the Quad is newer, it should be better, but from what I can tell on the info pages, the KP3 can do quite a bit more than the Quad. Would this assumption be correct?
Anyone who knows about this stuff, please explain the pros/cons of each one, which one you think is better, etc. without being vague.

Heh, forgot I made this topic.
I temporarily gave up on this after half a day of trying to get it to work (and it never did).
I've been meaning to update LSDJ, so I'll do that later tonight. If I still can't figure it out, I'll post some pictures of my current setup and see if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong.

Well, I finally got a Mega Memory Card, transferred the save from my GBC to that, transferred the save from the MMC to my EMS USB cart, and transferred from the EMS cart to my PC.
Then I used GBCameraDump to get the pics from the save.
Now all my pictures look like this:

Is my MMC messed up?
Should I try with a different gameboy?
What am I doing wrong?

EDIT:
I just tried it again and apparently it's working fine now.
Problem solved I guess.
Sorry, I probably should've tried a couple more times before making this thread.
:s

Yeah, I just wasn't getting any sound.
Also, though I had it set to sync to the keyboard, I never saw anything saying "wait" and I didn't see any "I[number]" next to the clean/purge data option. (The guides I've seen said to watch for those)

Well, from what I've heard, if the link has all 6 pins instead of just 4 (and mine does have all 6), one of them IS the 5v.
When I was trying all the combinations I'd found, one of the combonations I tried did get the keyboard to light up and start blinking, so I'm pretty sure it's got the 5v.
I just can't get anything else to work.

Yes. I was using LSDJ on a DMG like 15 minutes ago.
I believe LSDJ was made similar to most of the official black gameboy carts (Warioland 3, Link's Awakening DX, etc.) since it works as a black & white gameboy game, but if you use it in a gbc or gba you can choose different color schemes for the interface.

And I can't figure out what links to what.
I've googled quite a bit, and I've read through the many color charts that've been posted in other keyboard threads, I still can't figure it out.

Here's what I've got, and what color wires they have.
Maybe some of you will know what I should be doing?

a Nyko Powerlink.

The colors are
Black,
Green,
Orange,
Blue,
White,
Brown,
and a unshielded wire.

Some eMachines keyboard I found at Goodwill.

the model number is 7800, the serial is K23 185236.
It's colors are
Green,
Yellow,
Red,
White,
and unshielded.

Thanks for any help!

EDIT: ahahaha I signed this with a username I use on other sites. oops.

If the cartridge is black, it'll work as a regular DMG game on a DMG, but change to color on a GBC. Otherwise, no.
