gameboy carts are significantly more robust than NES carts as far as reliability goes. Pretty much every show I've seen with NES artists have had note skips and sync problems, to the point that (dirty secret time) no performing NES artists I know use carts live anymore. This is mainly a MIDINES thing, but powerpack has its problems too. apples to oranges comparison imho.

seems like its time to put the old "but chiptune is too niche so i shouldnt try" chestnut to bed at the very least. hard work, talent and a good sound win out every single time. pete and co are an inspiration.

seems crazy to not have a thread about it

this thread turned out way better than expected. i really like hearing what all the old forum peeps are up to.

DUDE i was just trying to remember CAGs name. for some reason i kept wanting to write CRAIG. lol.

ah! yes. well... its weird. like, game music sort of serves a purpose, so often it feels more like designing scenery than "proper art" or whatever. this soundtrack was really cool because i had a chance to completely explore the aspects of that whole "Video Game Music Style" that were really interesting to me.

im proud because i got to craft and polish some really sweet chairs that are, in my opinion, totally up to fine chair specifications. and then later come back and do sort of cheesy orchestral re-arrangements of them. IDK, it was an awesome project.

microchip.

UK chipbro. back when nobody else was really using the lsdj WAV channel (imagine that!), his WAV tones were next level. he did a MUSE cover where the guitar and bass tones sounded IDENTICAL to the original recording which blew my mind.

PDF Format.

last week i would have said unicorn dream attack, but then he dropped that sweet ass album! who would have thought.
