thanks for the awesome comments dudes!! What a crazy experience, not at all what i expected, and in the best way possible.

*You will be interested to know that one of the hosts is an obsessive engadget fan who actually KNEW ABOUT CHIPTUNE

* another host askes me to hook him up with some acid-- because were elctro artists, obviously...

* two members of the staff wanted to party afterwards, and wanted to hook us up with some E-- because were electro artists obviously...

*inbetween commercial breaks, these guys are HILARIOUSLY vulgar and spent most of the time trying to make dick jokes from the news reports.

* the show plays live on a huge jumbotron screen in times square. Holy shit!

All in all, a totally amazing and fun time. Thanks for experiencing it with us!!!

Hes probably worked harder and longer for chip music than almost anyone else, so its completely understandable that hes going to be protective of how it is perceived. and this IS a weird circumstance, to be sure!

I have to say though, the people at FOX have been nothing but awesome, helpful and friendly, and this is a massively cool opportunity. Whatever politics aside, we can all agree that music should be awesome and fun. SO IM TOTALLY PSYCHED AND THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT ;D

haha, actually, the last time we at the fox studios in NYC, it was picketing outside at the ANSWER anti-war protest in 2004. I'm all too aware of the politics (hence "br1ght pr1mate sell out on national tv", haha), but to be honest media is a two-way street. Obviously, we are there as a odd musical novelty not to talk politics, but the best way for us to convey our social message and our political world-view is through our music; that is why we are musicians and not media pundits or journalists or something.

All things aside, we are going to go in there, be ourselves and promote a genre of music that we love: chiptune. And, importantly, try really hard not to totally fuck up ;D

haha, no its not dumb... the toys aren't really meant to be used in that way, are they? so generally for recording you have to either mic them and sample the result, or solder in some sort of audio out from your toy and throw that through you DAW or mixer or whatever. if you dont have soldering skills yourself, there are many specialty shops online that will deck you out.

bending is a weird thing though, its like of like raising bonsai plants or something... you have to experiment a LOT and cultivate the sort of sounds you are looking for, especially if you are trying to blend it with other stuff. if you are doing it live, you have to understand that it WILL sound like utter shite 50% of the time (or simply fail), but the other 50% will be varying degrees of magic.

anyhoo, thats my 2 cents
