Very unique sense of humor...which I find to be hilarious.

Oh sorry, I don't think I was clear. The taco midi was in a DMG. He plugged a midi guitar into it and played songs. The video is hilarious. I highly recommend you watch it.

I wasn't aware that mini usb had 5 pins..why is that? That certainly would be a great candidate though. Usb cables/ports are so cheap and easy to come by.  The real problem for me is drumming up enough uses for actually replacing it...

But thanks again for the info and for getting my brain working! Great mod. I'll look forward to more work and products in your shop!

It's threads like this that keep me checking cm.o.
Thank you.

What are your plans for the future? Any ep's or other releases on the horizon? Where are you located? Keep up work like this and you'll be playing the festivals in no time.

Great website, thanks! Looking to maybe do this with an internal arduinoboy in just a DMG. PDF format had a video where he had done this and called it a taco midi. I knew he was joking but I had no idea how it worked or how to do it. You've solved a question I've had for YEARS. Obviously I figured it would be as easy as this I just never got around to looking into it.

Not trying to threadjack here either, but I've often wondered what would be the easiest/smallest jack to replace the standard DMG connector port. I hate to see so many cables/DMG 07s destroyed for their ports. Would a standard audio jack be possible with this or even perhaps the little jack the ti-85/89 calculators use?

I thought this was a sales thread accidentally posted in the wrong category where I could buy a Famicom for a fair price. sad

Crazy crazy lot though. I would love to know the back story here.

Oh awesome, thanks for quick reply.

Where did you get the cables? Does the plastic casing come off easily?

Great build! I'm interested in that midi cable though, you made them? I'm assuming it's pretty simple but I'd just need some pointers. A quick google search didn't yield any results...

Aye, you from that area?

No, but I lived there for about 6 months. Also met some dude who owned a dive bar in Louisville who was way down to do a chip show. Very possible for a festival. I can track down his info if you want.

Okay I can't take it any more! I am ready to start sacrificing humans to you if you make micro faceplates. EBay prices are reaching close to 30 bucks!

Good to know that I'm not the only person going crazy due to lack of micro faceplates!

Did you see the link? These:

Apparently he makes buttons to match but I couldn't find anything on the site. The site is pretty new apparently.
