From my experience, I would say there is no difference. Mixers usually have 1/4" and 1/4" - 1/4" cables are cheaper than ones with something else on the other end so theres that. Otherwise, just cosmetics.

To the guys criticizing Teh D3th St4r for building chiptune gear without having written any songs yet (Downstate, DKSTR), maybe you guys should google Leo Fender.  Leo Fender built up a brand of guitars that is now one of the biggest in the world but yet, Leo Fender did not know how to play guitar.

So you just skipped the later part of my message? I did appreciate the effort and his general skills, but coming from design field, I just see some problems with both, usability and aesthetics. I can be wrong and will gladly be wrong.

But around here you see a MILLION dudes buying and painting their gameboys and making logo's and stickers for their names before they've made a single tune.

Pretty much this, I guess for some this site is about doing awesome paintjobs and diamond d-pads, but theres also the music aspect. Being a autodidact doesnt change a thing.

For the thread starter:

Its a cool thing youre doing but design-wise doesnt make any sense, using that d-pad that is attached to keyboard will be annoying, and if youre going to add keyboard control + screen, why even bother. Also glueing up together a midi keyboard and a keyboard looks kinda crummy, why not make whole case from plywood or lasercut it or something?

Not trying to knock you down, you certainly have the right spirit and seem to know what you are doing, but little bit lacking the design aspect of _why_ and _why would this be useful_.

Yes, this will be grand! Im gonna do a very special set.

Microkorg, with Euro adapter (but replaceable very cheaply), original mic and neatly kept, never gigged with.

PS3 is PS2 combatible PHAT version that I bought here from Game Centre, TO.  has one controller, all the cables and extra HDMI cable.

Im looking for trades or best offer. Pickup would be best choice or mailing inside Canada, had some bad experience with postal service to US. Im selling these because Im heading back home to Finland and luggage will be pain in the ass:)

if interested, mail me to [email protected], no PMs, I forget them all the time.

Reminds me a lot of Cake, and of course Atom. Good job, Travelling Man is a hit!

Come on man, Coal Chamber was always shitty, as was Spineshank. Deftones has gone only better with every album, Slipknot lost it after Iowa. For the good, now shit list I would totally put In Flames.

As for the list:

Pantera
Black Sabbath

-blank for about 400 positions-

Will Haven
Every Time I Die
Doomriders

hmmm disagree.

Deftones last good record was Around the Fur
Spineshank did one good album -Strictly Diesel. I'll stand by that
Slipknot - Agreed
And Coal Chamber are totally lame i know. But come on i was 15 when i bought that and had my ridiculous spikey blue and gold hair (criiiinge) ___In retrospect should have replaced that tripe with SOAD (whom might i add went pretty shitty too after the second record)

Yeah I know, I have first Coal Chamber album, and its pretty hilarious to think that I really thought they were good songs.. BIG TRUCK, DUN DUNDUNN! Deftones made couple of bad records but two newest are actually really good, and White Pony is their best. First Deftones record is pretty shitty. Also I have that Spineshank album but shit, I thought even then that goddamn Orgy was better haha.

Also, I had purple, blue, green etc hair back then, around 1999-2000.. Just today I thanked some higher powers that I didnt get any awful band tattoos or piercings.

Ah! Oh snap, sorry about that DKSTR--fixed on the flyer now!

Haha, no problem, its more funny than everything. I pick the worst artist / band names...Videovalvontaa was spelled with some very weird ways too, even in Finland.

Come on, if you can put X, C, 3 and N in right order my name isnt that hard!

For a more song / groove oriented person like me its little bit all over the place, I liked also 24 & 38, but they could have been better with keeping only 2-3 parts. Stay with things little bit longer, work on your sense of melody, make drums punchier. But then again, if its intented to be proggy then go crazy.

Ill keep that in mind, all i don't want to do is make a boring and predictable song.

Check some krautrock stuff or Kraftwerk. theres beauty within repeating.
