It's really difficult making a nice corner with a big midi keyboard, so I won't post any pics smile

Added some awesome people.

The website seems very LSDJ centered. I can't find many trackers on there.

I am not gonna download this since I am only into catchy 80s style music. However, I really have to say that I approve of the title of the album!

I am really waiting for sample drawing in this one, so i can start using it. That might make it my primary source for generating chip sounds.

Like ant1 is saying, i mean a user generated repository.

Setting up some kind of digg clone is easy since there are packs available.. But I thought a thing like that would make sense to have on chipmusic.org and make it increase its value.

I would dig having a links section on the site. A "reddit" but for chipmusic would be a nice resource for sharing and browsing anything chipmusic related.

Yes. The two column list was a nice one!

3nc0d3r, some topics have been discussed inside other ones, as most people don't care about staying on topic. This makes it hard to find stuff sometimes.

Just like you say the frontpage shows what kind of users you want.

You made this suggestion already. There is a thread about it.

No i didn't. And i have not seen many posts about a frontpage, but i'm not following the forum that closely.

(I don't know if there already is a thread like this. If not i thought it could be interesting)

The current frontpage does not really promote the website in a good way (which should be the case?). Even the music, recent posts or a randomized members page would be better than what's on today. I guess it is just temporary, and maybe the developers have already came up with good ideas. Let's share some anyway?

I am suggesting a music page where every artist gets to choose one or two of their own tracks to be showcased (can be changed by him/her anytime). The tracks would then be randomized in a list similar to the current music list, or a list being a bit more elaborate with some short artist presentation for every record or something. This would promote the community aspect, the better part of the music being online, and would give the website a good and understandable wrapping for new visitors. The tab/page could be named "showcase".

Any other ideas?

This thread wasn't about personal attacks. It was about the "creative climate" and it was especially relevant as it concerned the developer/site owner (?) having a big part of affecting this. It was posted in "bugs and requests".

Here is a newer version of the flash player, with volume control. I would also suggest not to have minimized on the track page, just for the sake of design really..

I just wanted to post a few ideas and things to think about regarding the bugs and requests forum. In my opinion:

Everyone should be allowed to express their ideas freely, in their own way of communicating. It is important to the creative climate not trying to involve social positioning, but even let the most stupid people express themselves without reprimands, drama or ridiculation.

If you at some point can't relate to a thread, or thinks it is negative and should be "attacked", it might be a better idea to 1) ask for clarification, and 2) leave it for later until something good eventually have come out of it. Other people than you may be able to interact constructively with the poster - or it will simply be ignored, which is not a problem.
