lsdjguides on youtube
or my zine from kitsch-bent :-)
totally fine with this change.
yo what happened with this
thank you for bumping this. such a good game.
i met some great tasmanian musicians a year or two ago, billy whims and sam nicholson. they played a few shows with my girlfriend's band. nicest people!
a super gameboy tracker could have 4 outputs too since both units are stereo.
It would be a siightly difficult project because of the complexity and lack of development tools, at least if you want custom sounds. I would have to learn at least the basics of two new CPUs/platforms (The SNES's main CPU and the SPC) and make the code work together. Right now I'm spoiled with being able to debug GB ROMs easily in BGB.
...
Actually, it appears the SGB has some functionality that simplifies doing something like this, so you don't have to build it completely fom scatch but it's still not trivial or easy. I might try it at some point.
is this a negotiation tactic to get more money out of me?
if so, it's working.
A proof of concept controlling SNES audio through the Super Gameboy.
this this this.
i would contribute $100 to a kickstarter that produced a version of lsdj that allowed you to track for the snes channels in addition to the gameboy. WHO'S WITH ME?????
no seriously could we raise money and pay nitro/johan/littlescale/batsly/neil baldwin to do this? name your price gentleman.
i erase all the songs from my cartridge and the "read sram", which saves a totally empty sav file. then i open that in the lsdmanager and add lsdsng's to that and save it as a new file, usually titling it with that day's date.
i dont think there's any way to artificially motivate yourself to write music. if it was something you enjoyed doing, then that would be motivation enough.

i never really make these kinds of posts but if anyone could give me some constructive criticism on this song, it'd be greatly appreciated. it's an unfinished demo from several years ago. i remember wanting to change a lot about it but since i've heard it this way for so long, it's very difficult to be objective. any help would be rad!
i'll help you!
i'll just leave this here.
subpop posted online saying that this song was started in 2006 and finished in 2012.
i guess 3 minutes is always going to be slightly dissapointing after 10 yearsof waiting for a new album.

Not chip music related but I still wanted to see what people thought of this. There's a lot of electronic music producers and I thought this could provoke an interesting discussion.
Any chance of releasing a .pdf of this in the future?
(I'm more of an ebook reader when it comes to stuff like this, as I can see myself spilling coffee over booklets like these or losing them).
it's my plan to eventually revise this and release a volume 2 with more advanced stuff. when (if) that happens, i'll get someone to help with some graphic design and release a pdf of that.
in the meantime, i highly recommend the lsdj manual! also, the lsdjguides youtube channel!
