this is such a good release god damn

yeah that track definitely sounds like a NES triangle of some sort, it has that extra semi-resonant high harmonic innit

I'm not able to update yet (I stupidly didn't order the USB-MIDI adapter when I ordered my cart), but does 2.7.7 fix the bug where the tempo jumps to 240 when using B+left/right to move to an empty pattern in the file menu? I keep doing it by accident and it's admittedly pretty funny when there are other patterns playing and they suddenly play super fast, but it happened once in a live situation and I had to scramble to correct it, haha!

LOL, i just tested this on my cart (waiting for my USB-MIDI to ship) and it definitely happens

While i could live without the soft pulse, there's another problem that makes it unusable im my setup: loading patterns for the first time throws out the sync, as well as overwriting patterns with new stuff that's not on any other slot yet.

could someone please confirm?

i'm running a DMG CPU 06 with freshly charged eneloops and an original DMG-04 sync cable in case it matters.

I have the same issue with the sync. it's a bit annoying >:(

also experiencing this

honestly if you use a burst of looped noise in 8th notes I've found it can trigger cv of most anything

tested only using an unmodded DMG, though!

I ordered a usb-midi adaptor and never received it on the previous batch :C

same. sad i e-mailed him and he responded that it was going to be sent (after I followed up a bit, though) but i didn't get a confirmation number either

I ordered another two cart because I saw the website said In Stock but that was just before he posted about it, so I'd be lying to myself if I wasn't a little worried yikes

this is nice! we're doing pretty similar stuff currently

I'm kind of into the idea of this, not gonna lie, but at this point I'd rather just use ableton and a controller. smile

But I guess making a custom controller for LSDJ/Nanoloop also could make sense too (hell, animal style did it with a foot controller too)

Hopefully they change it to this thread.

If I don't live in Europe but I just want to see Bit Shifter have more overseas touring opportunities, can I vote? smile

to be fair, gaming in the Bill Clinton era fucking rocked.

There are a lot of more other random quicks between the two as well, many of which aren't in the manual

like two has the ability to mute and solo on the file menu, but one doesnt...WHY?????? lol

everyone seems to gravitate towards nanoloop two but one really has huge potential that hasn't really been tapped yet IMO. the "soft pulse" addition in the new version is really something special for example https://soundcloud.com/nanoloop-test/na … se-example

Man, such an awesome release. Really cool idea too. Writing chip songs from math-rock and vice versa. That "ego depletion" on track 3 at 2:40ish was 10/10 too.
Also, any chance for a cassette?

Thanks Kura! It's funny - you're not the only one to mention a cassette release for this. The idea never came to mind to us when we made it, but that's a rad idea IMO!

hello friends

i did a split with gnar math rock band invalids!
we both wrote an original song and then we covered each other's songs.

hope you enjoy!

chipmusic rising 2015~

this feels really honest and genuine - what it lacks in programming complexity it totally makes up for in terms of melody, song structure, and creative atmosphere

this is very refreshing to chip music IMO! smile

I do think it's worth noting that cm.o isn't the only community reacting to this article in this way, though!
