I remember hearing in the past that after a certain length of time if you own a Nanoloop cartridge its battery will eventually erase itself for good. As an alternative would sampling nanoloop to LSDj be a possible alternative to backing-up?

Nanoloop has such a distinctive wave instrument that I've never been able to quite recreate the same kind  sounds in LSDj that which I was able to in Nanoloop.

I tried sampling the raw sounds from Nanoloop and put them into LSDj, the results were quite interesting because you're able to have a lot of control over how you can use commands and samples in LSDj.

Here's a quick demo of some early results:- https://soundcloud.com/cs001/delicate-m … sited-demo

Cool thanks, I didn't realise there were others similar to it. I'll take a look.

Hi,

I'm looking for a 3xled backlight kit for the Gameboy/DMG. Though Kitch-bent has seemed to of run out. Does anyone know if any others places have them in stock currently?

Thanks,

Recent shot of a set I played recently. There was a nice atmosphere and energetic audience. Check out the guy's bass face behind!

I also had a visual set up which visuals I programmed were responsive to the audio's waveform and frequencies. (Not visible)

2 x Gameboys,
1 x Kaoss Pad 3
1 x Roland Digital Reverb
1 x Roland MX 5 mixer

Using additional effect units on stage is useful being able to improvise and adds further fluidity to the unprocessed raw 8 bit sounds. Mixed with a more club based sound and modern electronic appeal this technique works well together.

Edit: Oops I accidently sent this to Nintendo Consoles in a hurry. Could a mod move this to the Handheld thread instead? Thanks

Hi,

I had a serious incident which my Gameboy's screen was cracked. Afterwards the screen was so bad that whenever I turned it on, the start up text didn't appear anymore. The screen ended up falling apart too.

Is it possible to quickly fix with a screen from another gameboy? See attachments

Thanks,

if you cant find the nuts, go to radio shack and buy the 1/8" jacks, and just use the nuts on them. its something like $2.50 for 2 of them

Cool, thanks. i'll check that out.

Hi,

I have this problem where the nuts/washers have disappeared from around the mini jack pro sound input. Which has resulted in one pro sound mod being useless getting lost inside the Gameboy.

Would I use superglue to re stick the plastic mini jack input and does anyone know where I replace the nuts/washers which go around them? (See attachments below)

Have a show in less than two weeks, any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

I ordered twice from him, the pro sound gameboy came through eventually (summer 2011 and early 2012).

Amiga Jungle/ Drum and Bass 2013 vol5 mix

'I compiled over 8 hours of top quality 4-channel Amiga jungle/drum&bass modules for my own listening, then decided to shove together a mix of vol. 5 and fling it up here. I'm not great at this, but hey, whatever. Enjoy!

Oh - and if you want to download the original modules, grab the entire 6-volume collection I've assembled from my archives of favourite old mods over the past few days here (about 100 songs, almost 9 hours' playing time in total!)' - Mixcloud

Slightly off topic, though I released a release really close to 2013. Learn't releasing music around such a family orientated/seasonal time means your release might not hit a wider audience.

Really cool, the video and music are really well made.
