Nice, cool art too.

Lol "Why do you use new computers?" .

I thought this was a really interesting project. Nice musical and visuals, especially the combination of real and electronic instrument they worked well together in this piece.

Nice, liked the range of different styles and moods created in each track.

Recently Radio 1 BBC broadcasted a show titled 'Beats, Bleeps and Bass'.

'This week he's going behind the bleeps and beats of early video game music to explore some of the influences it's had on the music industry, the artists it's inspired, sub genres it's created and the social communities that it has brought together.

We hear from artists such as LA based 8 Bit Weapon, Sabrepulse, Chipzel, electronic artist Ikonika, Nintendocore rockers Horse The Band, Nerdcore rapper Random - a.k.a MegaRan, C64 composer Ben Daglish and the guys responsible for the addictive Scott Pilgrim vs The World game soundtrack - Anamanaguchi.'

There's only 7 days left to listen to it accordingly on the page though.

Isn't strictly 'Chip hip hop' though a local hip-hop group called VT mixed some 8bit-esque sounds with more electronic sounds in this track on their recent album.

Ordered once from Dj Transformer, the order did come through eventually.

Fun night, great atmosphere. It was cool to of met old faces and some newer faces too.

I recorded two sets before my camera ran out of battery, enjoy/share these.

There's some grooving tunes in this mix, enjoyed listening to it.

See everyone tomorrow!

Hi,

I found various threads relating to the music function, and modding parts of the Gameboy Camera. Though I didn't see a thread which specifically showed its Camera/Photography side.

There's a certain aesthetic and appeal in the image that the Gameboy Camera takes I think - especially in outdoor conditions.

I'll start - Here's a collage of photos I took in the city Newcastle-upon Tyne areas around 2007.

Post your photos/imagery.

Hadn't heard of Omri Suleiman till now, interesting site design and music.

I think it's like any form of music, where it's popularity rises and decreases you see some who temporarily engage with a scene or those who have been involved for longer. Regardless, it could be down to the users own creativity and approach that makes the music limited or limitless.

Awesome. I once saw a video of Maru busking a while ago and I fell in love with the idea. What's going on with that mixer? It looks like you guys are just turning down the volume with the fader for a sidechain-like effect...but audio is still going? There's also no gameboy syncing either so, HOW DO

Each channel in the mixer is controlling the main volume of each device's line out (Two Gameboy's in this case). If you set two tracks at the same tempo and press play at the same time they will both run in sync with each other. Ideal for mixing and improvisation.

When Maru and BSK first came to visit the Toon (Newcastle) last year, we used a MX-5 battery powered mixer and an amp to power two small sets of speakers.

We caught a lot of peoples attention that afternoon, went down pretty well.

Here's video I got from the day. Just enjoy yourself and be confident when you're out busking.  Good luck.

Nice one.
