Too bad Hermidi goes into the serial port, doesn't it? That one's already occupied by my Infinity SD2IEC interface.
Also I'm wondering if anybody sells these assembled...

Does your device has a daisy chain? Maybe you can get a third party one

Nope, you are thinking of the atari, c64 is a little more complex.

I remember having to send my first batch ones back because theyd kept doing the same. Maybe the solder needs a refresh? I got the impression build quality varied from batch to batch.

Im pretty sure that floppy drive doesnt have great compatibility with modern devices.

From hell's heart this thread stabs at thee.

also I can see it as a intermediate step where all your disk images are backed up, but not dumped to the hard disc.

Because you can have a phrase with a bunch of notes that be affected by random commands and external midi control in a way that a rendered loop cannot.

Yea it seems like one of those REAL TIME SEQUENCER dealies. I imagine breakidsz and idmdudez will love the ability to have a complex slice and be able to trigger it at will from a master sequence list or pad controller.

Seems like lots of cool stuff for live playback have been added, but the most interesting to me:

Oh, wait - one more thing … soon, we will introduce a new member of the Renoise family: a standalone plugin called Redux. For the first time - without resorting to tricks like Rewire - the sample-mangling capabilities of Renoise will be available to any DAW. And any instrument created in Renoise will be fully compatible with Redux, and vice versa.

Media Center PC for all your VideoCDs?

He didnt say it sounded good, he said it sounded CLEAN. Maybe you need more complex waveforms as a modulator?

You would probably have better luck doing this with MGB. Lsdj midi in doesnt support pitchbend.

Like are you into more melodic punk, or old school 70's street punk?

Personally Id love to see the current ghetto become a version 1, that works great and frees you up for a version 2 branch that may or may not work on old gp2x esqe consoles. The v1 branch would of course still see bug fixes but not get any new ghettos.
