Is there a good spc archive somewhere?

I think the samples in Midines are better than the stock samples in LSDJ, so maybe its a problem with dmc playback realities versus any problems with the source material themselves. Its not cd quality for sure.

How about you hire Neil.. Neil how much would you ballpark the cost to add this feature? Be liberal.

Then a scene effort can work on building a smart kickstarter around it. Id imagine youd want to have:
- stickers and other giveaways
- Exclusive music
- Carts
- Interfaces
- Super rare collectibles
- Submit a sample?
- ETC

Count me in. I have a few goodies (noise kick especially). Will PM you a .lsdjsng with instruments in 24 hours from now.

Whoa that would be interesting if it could just READ a lsdsng file. Then the instruments name will show up in slot 1-?.. and people can share kits via sram dumps.

Will there be support for layered sounds? Maybe through smart voice stealing?

Did you make any appreciable progress? Maybe its something we should try and crowd source.

So after hearing peoples own kits for a few years, I'm pretty convinced that one could re-record the stock LSDJ sample kits to have much more fidelity with modern tools. Has anyone ever undertaken this?

I mean to say that the new rom should work better with existing code on your device.

What ive really wanted to know is precisely what the values in the dist field refer to. I wrote Johan but no response yet.

I think they are corrupting the data read at various memory addresses as the sample is read in memory:
