That being said, I think this violates all kinds of GPL that the arduinoboy code is released under.
Good point although I think he's attempting to play by the rules with his promises to release all his files and only charge for building or kits. I was curious if anyone knew this guy and could tell if he's talking out of his ass...

This kind of thing is not my bag, baby... but is this legit?
... so maybe this isn't the best solution unless you already own a Sega CD...?
I picked one up before I did any research thinking "Hey, anybody can burn a CD. It's so obvious!" but yeah... other than playing the Japanese version of Shadowrun it hasn't seen much use.

If you have any success let me know! I emailed some questions and stuff to the developer on more than one occasion but never got a response.
Hmmm... I'd be willing to bet it's something to do with the "room adjustment" feature. The quickstart guide says it has a pink noise generator that's used in that process. Maybe re-check your manual and make sure it's definitely off?
I'm guessing you're running it on batteries so it's not power line noise...
