Not tested yet. But very interesting tracker !

The EZF4 automatically makes a folder with "sav" files for each program (one folder with all the savs in it).  Maybe that's causing a problem.  I'll experiment some more tomorrow.  Not having any luck so far.

After some more research and some work travel with my psp as my only internet source I think I've decided to just keep it and not worry about midi.  All the emulators I've used on it so far are pretty slick and wifi has proven to be a god send.  If the Wiz gets a piggy version I may reconsider. smile
Thanks for all the info, guys!

Ah yes, your second example is what I've been doing sort of.  I guess I couldn't get my head around not putting the command at the beginning of the bend.  My experimentation is in order!

Gotcha, so if you want to bend UP, trigger the L with a higher note.

C 5 ---
--- ---
--- ---
--- ---
A#5 L02

Bends UP to A#6.

C 5 ---
--- ---
--- ---
--- ---
B B L01

This should (in theory) be the exact opposite effect of using an L on an empty step.

Finally figured out that the bend starts at the second note position.  tongue

No midi, nor piggy portage.

Well, that narrows it down a bit!  So F200 it is?

I'm planing on selling my PSP and some other stuff and getting a GP2X.  I've been looking at the Wiz... has touchscreen which is nice.  But it seems to be really small and I can't find any info on midi (I don't think it has any ports other than usb).  Has midi just not been implemented yet?

thanks for the excellent info nitro, i was really considering the infinity cart... i probably would have bought 3, but perhaps ill wait and see. Also- the file manager is going to be a HUGE DEAL, and I can't wait until its out.

But keep in mind that it won't work on any EMS cartridges. sad

Ah sucky... that includes the 64M usb carts?

and it's even bi-polar supply! which means more headroom! WooT!

Yeah, I believe this or something very close is what I'm going for.  I pulled apart one of the mp3 player amps that I had and decided that the parts and labor I would need to convert it weren't worth the hassle when these are available.  Also, I can blame someone else when it jacks up my equipment lol smile

EDIT:  This is the other option I'm considering.  Has USB rechargeable battery and very good reviews.  Might not have the juice I need tho.

I have the same issue with the L command, it never seems to bend notes how I want - I find it easier to use the P command and play with the vib. type if i want a nice Portamento effect.

L is one of my favorite commands.

One thing you have to note is that it bends the previous note to the new one.

A#6 ---
--- ---
--- ---
--- ---
C 6 L02

Bends the A# down to a C. But as aphasia noted, you're only going to get something usable with an 01 or 02 (experiment, naturally).

A cool effect is using an L with no note, this bends anything down to nil (or C 3, I'd assume).

A#6 ---
--- ---
--- ---
--- ---
--- L01

Or something like this, is a cool little sound.

Ah yes, your second example is what I've been doing sort of.  I guess I couldn't get my head around not putting the command at the beginning of the bend.  More experimentation is in order!

Help with the "L" command would be nice.  I can't seem to bend notes up in the wav channel, only down?

Also, I hate "prelisten" but it won't stay off!!!  Grrrrrr!!!  (edit: just emailed about this bug)

Have you already bought the computer?  If so check your system properties for the soundcard model and search for the specs on that.

Loving this album!  "Black Moon of Apolloium" or however that's spelled is the jam!  The whole thing is dense with cool sounds.

I know we had a thread like this a while back on 8bc, but it died fairly soon because somebody dropped the ball.

Here's my proposed reorganization for the rules:

1. The challenge passes from the last person who made a picture to the next person. IE, if you were the last person to complete a challenge you get to pick the next person/topic/restrictions.
2. You must pick from someone who has expressed interest in being picked. Preferably in the order requested in this thread.
3. Upon completing the challenge, post the picture here.
4. You have 48 hours from when you see you've been challenged to get it done.
5. When you challenge someone, you MUST put out a public post here, as well as a PM just in case he doesn't see this thread.
6. If the person being challenged takes more than 24 hours to acknowledge that he's seen the challenge, the challenger can pick another and/or change the type of challenge.

NEW RULE: You can't get picked to do another challenge unless there is nobody waiting to do one.

Current challenger: Russolo
Challenge: Pixel a 320x200 size image of whatever you want, in 1 bit color. You get to pick your two colors you want to use, but it's 1 bit, so one color is "on" and the other one is "off."

Cool, glad this is happening!  Do you have plans to host the results somewhere?  I'd suggest downloading all of them yourself and then linking to Photobucket.com or whatever in the first post along with the text of the challenge like I did on 8bc.  That way nothing gets lost. smile
