I can't seem to find any being sold online for a reasonable price. I'm currently semi-homeless and just looking for something to keep my spirits up while I get back on my feet.

If you know any e-shops that have any, or if you are selling one yourself please reply here or email me at [email protected]. It would be greatly appreciated!

Also any other mods are not required at all. Just send me a price and I'll get back to you within twelve hours!

(:

So, there always ends up being a "Directory" on the forums, but those never really work out, either its not easy to navigate (because its a huge list of cities and countries), or its not kept up because the original poster gets lazy.

So my suggestion is a google powered member map.

Simple as adding a membermap input box in your control panel, and on the registration form. Members put in their city, and state, or select them from drop down menus, then using google maps API, you automatically add them to the map. Of course, its not a required field, and also has a checkbox for hiding yourself.

Here is an article I found about it, I have faith in trash80's skills, so i doubt he would actually need to read this, but in case he wants something to build off of, here it is.

I'll be doing more research on member maps, and I will add any resources I find later on.

My personal FB account is for family and friends that won't look at my Twitter account, and its status updates are worded accordingly.  It is read by people that already know about my music, and it is deliberately not readable by anyone else, so perhaps that's that...  I didn't open my FB account with the intention of meeting people, that's what forums are for wink

You are going to meet more people doing the same thing you are on forums, youll meet real people with the potential to be fans on facebook.

i gotta ask what's wrong with the new layout? i don't know...it seems a huge step up above the old one....

Its extremely resource heavy for one. And I am on a not top end laptop like most of the US.

2.3 GHz and 1.2 GBs of Ram, and my browser freezes up everytime. A website that can do that, isnt a website i want to go to.

My recent experience with myspace is that, due to the lack of customization now, and the shitty HAVE TO HAVE layout they use, I myself don't even go on it. My bands myspace was getting something like 100-200 song plays a day, and now it gets maybe 15?

Facebook + RootMusic seems to be the best deal out there.

More people now than ever use facebook, RootMusic adds a tab to your band page, and gives you a http://listen.to/yourband link so that you can link directly to your rootmusic tab.

Ha, great! thumbs up for that tip big_smile it's what myspace should have become all along.

I skipped Myspace because I wasn't making music when it was "in." Not to steer too far off topic, but nobody happens upon my Facebook or Bandcamp pages, so the aren't very useful to me, which is a polite way of saying I think they are a pain in the ass waste of time. For contrast, entries in my main (Wordpress-based) blog, Twitter, Soundcloud, and YouTube result in actual looks and reactions, so those get the most attention from me.
