Don't record into the mic input. It is bad quality and is wrong.

I assume that the way the noise channel operates has changed. I'd check the changelog to see if it's addressed there. This happened to me from 3.7.5 to 3.9.e.

Clearly everyone who was a member of 8bc is a terrible musician?

It's essentially so you can split up bits of songs and then loop them parts indefinitely and independently from any of the other channels.

Which is very useful.

One thing with volume fade-ins you could do is put 0F first and then after a gap put a sustain envelope of the appropriate volume, and repeat. So that it maybe goes:

0F

4F

That's just a guesstimate but that kind of technique might be good.

Question: When using an external MIDI keyboard/controller (via MC2), it seems that LSDJ will only allow audible responses to key inputs while the LSDJ sequencer it is running, and therefore key strikes are quantized in 16th note increments and sync'ed to the LSDJ clock (or whatever clock it is using). This means that if you simply want to use the DMG as a live instrument (using an external MIDI keyboard controller), you cannot avoid its quantization. I am assuming there is no other mode where you utilize the DMG chip without having the LSDJ sequencer running; is this correct?

The way around this is to set the groove as low as possible in that channel and if that's not accurate enough then raise the tempo as well.

If you can't bend *up* then that sounds like a bug as well.

I've found only L01 to be useful musically, everything else is too fast and with a different vib type it just sounds...odd.

After length research I think the consensus is:

"Dunno."

Out of curiousity, why have you posted it as a Reaktor instrument instead of an ensemble?

Didn't you actually say that you wanted no likes system when the music uploading was mentioned?

I bought this when it first came out and I like it still.

I have a number of goto sounds on it that I prefer in comparison to the kind of atonal noise stuff that comes from a number of the chips but it's still good stuff.

For me the wave sequence is slightly annoying and I don't use it so much because of that but it's not a huge deal.

You say R.G. 2.0.....what does that mean?

Is it just any electronic music that's a bit chip that you want or what?

you mean using like a link cable midi connection?
or... something else?
also when you do it by midi, is it just a trigger then, or does the sound come through?

I'm using an arduinoboy mini (you don't *have* to sync via midi as goatslacker says but I have the gear) and in LSDJ sync mode it just sends start, stop and clock signals but in mGB mode you can make it essentially midines.

Record synced to midi or manually adjust it to a reference point. Start the track with a 4/4 hat and then adjust them to each other.

That latter method didn't work that great when I tried it but midi sync worked perfectly recently.

When producing a song on the computer or when it's stems of a game boy/c64 song then what I do is this;

Lower all faders
Raise the Kick, Snare and Bass to a level about a third of the way up the faders and balance them accordingly
Raise other drum sounds and balance against previous
Raise chords/arps and balance again
Raise Melodic parts going from aux melodies to lead melody and balance again
Review all parts, at this point the kick & snare usually need to come up slightly
Take a break, come back and tweak
Put a reverb on the send set to a room or maybe a hall depending on the sparsity of the track (more dense, smaller space)
Put a send device on each track (I do this in renoise usually but all DAWs have this feature
Send each part in the reverse order to the faders being raised to the reverb so that you can hear the effect and then back the level off from there slightly
Do not send bass or kick to the reverb

Do you guys have any good links to websites which explains for beginners that explain a bit what you're all on about?
I'd fail at step 2 because i dont know about setting up a bus lol, but i am interested in making my sounds sound 'better' so any help would be appreciated,

Check out Computer Music or Sound On Sound. Computer Music is more aimed at people with less experience so start with that.

What software are you running on your computer?
