$250 is nuts.   That's getting into the EarthQuaker Devices-tier pedals.  I like the idea of your pedal but it's definitely not worth that much... for reference I could probably pick up an Alesis Bitrman which is a bitcrusher/flanger/phaser pedal for ~$100.

I've actually had more firsthand experiences with Derps fucking up than EMS carts.  Snesei's has some weird bug where the rom will freeze in the middle of playing until you press the A button, and then it continues like nothing happened.  Completely random but it's been a repeated situation many times in the past.

I love how every single post here has more or less dodged the compensation section

fuck that I paid all my bills this month on gameboy-only jams eat my butt

I feel like this is a hella unnecessary step to get it working with a DAW.  Why not just export the raw audio via the sound option and load it into the DAW?  I just don't see a huge benefit beyond real-time composition and even then it seems like a mess.

I definitely would've gotten at LEAST a 2i8 if I could afford it at the time (and if the 2i4 wasn't on sale)

Yeah, I'm also confused.  Messing with groove affects swing, but you're talking about time signatures?  Just use the H command and make life easy.

There's plenty of peeps out there making bass music with chip gear.  I highly recommend checking out Monodeer. 8^)
