Hey I have the UCP software for the bleep bloop 2 carts (which is different than the Mprog version google is yielding for bleep bloop 1's). Anyways I'm switching to a new computer, I can't find the install files, and a copy paste doesn't seem to be working for some reason.

Who can hook me up with this software

LOL if you think the top was mostly bullshit.

I discovered FearOfDark, BlitzLunar, Zef, Beastmode, j Arthur Keenes , Pongball and probably 10 others on the charts.  There were plenty of diverse awesome musicians there.

Ok I knew pong ball beforehand, but she was #1 for like a month and she's amazing

My track is a brand new unreleased one btw.  This thing is a great way to check out new artists

I really think The Swimm is right, but I do have one caveat.

With the 'popularity contest' people were actually listening and discovering WAY more music.  Yeah, there's a host of drama, bullshit, and god knows what going on, but the focus was on the music.

Maybe it's a problem with my own behavior, but I found myself checking out way more actual songs on 8bc.

Touring is essentially a huge depressing money pit unless you do it extremely right.  Unless you're drawing people into shows like Anamanaguchi (you aren't), you're not going to survive unless you're an opener for a bigger draw.

My last tour had VERY FEW chip scene people show up, like 3 or less.  And one of them was paid to be there.  I realize the ticket prices weren't exactly $5 and some people were going to see me play at blip a week later, but holy crap that should be your wake up call to how many people might actually show up to these things.

I've only had luck touring with good non-chip bands and doing some of the monthly showcases like Pulsewave/8static

Lol dramatic much?  Sharing your art will never cease to be frustrating.  Defeatist attitudes aren't going to help

There was some content that I purposefully withheld for a week or more (reviews etc) to not bludgeon my audience with too much content at once as well

On the other hand, if someone releases something and I really like it... I love promoting it.  Word of mouth buzz is the best advertisement.

I promoted my release pretty hard and made a specific effort to keep bumping it, but only when I had ACTUAL CONTENT to accompany it.  Example, I recorded a new remix, I posted reviews of the album, I posted YouTube vids of people playing my songs etc.

Was it obnoxious?  Maybe. But it's a tough world out there and I wanted to make sure I got heard.

Use S commands in snare tables.  NOT TRANSPOSES.
