the silph scope: shipping for what? a memory card? surely you could copy the file from one memory cartd to another, on your ps2, and ship that over? it certainly wont be too much, im down for that!

yeah for the memcard. I don't have a spare though, just the one I use.
If you wanna send me a memcard, or pay for a new one to be shipped to me (whichever is cheaper) then I can flash it and ship it to ya smile
Only one issue I can see though, is your PS2 NTSC or PAL?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can cross console install (so slim -> phat won't be an issue) but you can't cross region...

So if yours is NTSC send me an email :3

I have a slim PS2 with freemcboot. Shipping from UK to California and back may not be worth it, but if you can't find anyone else I'd be willing.

I'm currently recording a blackened nintendocore album and am trying to incorporate as many "real" instruments for a symphonic sound (I'm trying to not use any VSTs or soundfonts)
Does anyone here play any instruments that they can contribute to it?

I'm mainly looking for Violin, French Horn, and Trumpet, but if you play Viola, Cello, Flugelhorn, Flute, Oboe/Bassoon, or anything else that can fit an orchestral instrumentation I'd really appreciate it if you can help out!

Thanks! heart

Yeah we use LSDJ, no GXSCC bullshit here wink
The EP we're working on right now uses Korg M01 though.

kits? i'm a little confused

Probably referring to us doing all the drums in the WAV channel with sample kits.
Obviously not the most technically advanced way to do drums in LSDJ but I wanted a more "real" sound than pulse kicks + noise channel stuff wink

I picked up sax in middle school, marched the trombone in high school while playing guitar, bass, and sax in jazz band, and took AP music theory in high school.
I also messed with FL Studio throughout all of high school. Then I picked up Nanoloop my senior year and my chiptune life began....

Basically, just learn shit. Music theory, rhythmic patterns, production techniques, sound synthesis, etc. Plenty of resources out there.

Mad as fuck, wow. You can get a T61 for like $50.

I have no choice. This is a laptop.

There's plenty of choice man, lots of Thinkpads for example have 1920x1200 screens.

I've noticed a pattern with my New Year goals...

2012: Weekly Beats
2013: shit ton of releases, shows, remixes, etc
2014: Weekly Beats
2015: shit ton of releases, shows, remixes, etc
repeat until give up on life

This year I'm looking forward to: at least 4 EPs for my chiptune death metal band, an electrohouse vocaloid+GB full length, hopefully many shows.
