Gotta love bitmap conversions.

It seems like a chintzy guitar, but as I have heard the game is the worst thing ever I imagine they're going to end up really cheap, really fast. It would be fun to have a cheap guitar like that to try installing some sort of fuzz/distortion right inside the body. I think they're mostly hollow, which is good for mods, bad for sound!

I have a stash of handsets that look just like this:

I've been itching to do some soldering and such and thought I'd share the wealth of cheap Japanese phone handset microphone fun. They all have carbon mics for that sweet AM sound.

I can wire these to have just about any output you'd want, I imagine an XLR might be overkill, but if that's what you want, I'm down. I also can just give it a pigtail with a 1/4, which is the easy way to go.

I can also mod these to work as a Skype handset, mobile phone handset. I think you get the picture.

This isn't super difficult so I'm not trying to make money really, I think something in the ballpark of $10+ shipping or $15 shipped USA domestic sounds fair, but I'm down to trade or negotiate.

i use a Supercard SD. i like it cause if you get a superkey, you can use it on a DS too. it should be really cheap now, cause they stopped supporting / updating for DS games. downside is you need a pc, or the ability to boot up windows, to convert the roms to play on the SD card.

I'm a Windows using kind of guy. I even forgive them for Millennium, though it took some time. The problem I have now is that they all seem to be at a premium because they're a but outdated since the DSI lost the advance port.

I was going to spend hours looking again without any luck trying to decide which flashcart to buy for a GBA. I swear I saw one one Dealextreme, but honestly I'm at a loss. I'm not sure if there is a good one that rocks either a microSD, a usb port, or even just a transferer.

Please suggest something to me guys.

This thing looks like entirely too much fun. I can't even imagine using famitracker with it.

Doesn't it seem like it would make arps really, really fun?

the PowerGIG guitar looks really funny too, I'd be interested to look inside and see what's driving it as it's a working electric guitar as well as a game controller.

If nothing else all of the music games brought us tons of midi-capable toys.

There were some links, but youtube is a pain.

I think he, as we all do, understand that you are looking to trade, he is merely making the suggestion that you may want to do something to make it clear that you are not expecting $300 in traded items, as that would be a little crazy.

I also imagine it looks not great that the only place you've ever posted in these forums are the Trading post.

Well that is all a bummer to hear, but you all saved me from a bad buy. I already own a laptop so a netbook would be redundant. I also have a droid phone, which I am on right now. So really I guess I was getting tech greedy.

Thanks

It would be cool to have something happen out west, being in school puts a damper on trying to take enough time off to travel.

San Diego is close enough to LA, someone get something rolling and I'm in to help keep it going.

I was looking around at the plethora of android tablets floating around and realized I could use some input. anyone on here have one that cares to make a recommendation? I'm open to even the Chinese imports on the condition they get the job done and are reasonably built.

I wasn't planing on using this for anything chip related obviously, just something smaller than a laptop for when I need to use the net for a few minutes.

pretty much this.

This is crazy. My respect to Nitro for the idea and you for execution. I second the interest in using an EMS 64 for this.

Yep, that's bleepbloop's model if I am not mistaken. I'm actually a fan of the smartboy model, but I'd pretty much jump at anything, I need to clear my Gameboy cameras super bad.

Still waiting to hear back on this, so still up for an offer.
