I'm curious in what purpose a thumbs down rating would serve.

I can't say for sure, but I think the JS overrides browser shortcuts.

There is a simple javascript app that can do this. Plus, as I stated, there's another forum which has this feature.
The actual input text box doesn't need to be java for this to work.

I've used this myself once, and it worked great!

I'm on FF 3.5 @ 1024x768.
In a search result or "Recent posts" the Topic subject gets less space since it's sub-forum is also listed. This makes the subject line cut off it's too long. Could there be some word wrap function?

Side note: The sub-forum header "HOME" is displaced.

Thanks!

Would it be possible to implement keyboard shortcuts to BBcode tags?
I know another forum which has this and it's really convenient.
Example; Ctrl + i produces opening and closing italics tags and places the cursor in between. The same keyboard combo with text selected tags the selected text as italic.
Sounds cool?

This sounds very interesting indeed!
Have you considered some sort of sync feature? I know this would require extra hardware, but still...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can upgrade a A500 with a new kickstart chip right?

I've had my eyes on this. A CF card cart. A bit pricey though.

Will there be a quality control à la micromusic, or an "upload as much as you can" approach à la 8bc?

Imagine when the number of members is five figures and they all upload their track both here and @ 8bc...

I'm not putting any personal values into this, just curious. Especially since I've gotten the feeling this site was made as an alternative to 8bc. But maybe I'm wrong there...
I don't know. Never mind.

I really get nice vibes from here though! big_smile

@Minusbaby: I went to Hard Rock Café while I was in NY and saw Bo Diddley's very first guitar he built. smile

Yea. It's so 8bc.
neutral

While on the subject of quoting, I used to visit a forum which had a useful feature where you could select any text from a previous post and click on the user name and you'd get that text with quote tags.
