No real loss other than those really nice LSDJ and you articles, if you ask me.

I saved them when the site started having trouble!

I'm slowly porting them to tumblr:

Yessssssssss, I'll be there too.

It's my understanding that it is tradition that we empty the hostel vending machine of its beer the night before Square Sounds.

If you are staying where most people are (like Khaosan Ninja) , it shouldn't be a problem.

There are already a couple of us booked to stay at Khaosan Ninja. At the very least I am going to be staying there and so is Frans of Eindbaas fame. I think Shirobon mentioned looking into booking there too.

That's one hell of a lineup right there.

If you are on facebook, there's a square sounds tokyo group. I've been using it to help coordinate my trip and it might be a good resource for you:

I think its fine, especially if you happened to remaster the samples to have more OMPH or through high end outboard gears. Its not like johan took these samples from his own gear, im guessing they where a quick port from some hollow sun type sample pack.

Also: it would be awesome if someone remastered the LSDJ samples themselves IN Lsdj because they could totally sound better than they do.

All of this.

Hey guys. I've been invited to play Square Sounds Tokyo this year. I need to sell stuff to pay for my plane ticket though. sad

Here's the first round of gear I'm trying to sell. Figure I'd post it here first before offering these things to eBay.

Moog Moogerfooger MF-101 - $200
Moog Moogerfooger MF-102 - $200
Moog EP-1 (CV expression pedal for any Moogerfooger) - $15 (sold)
Korg Electribe ER-1 mkii - $125

These prices don't include shipping. We'll figure that out if someone here is interested in this stuff. However, I would prefer not dealing with international shipping. If you're going to be a BRKfest or Little Sound Assembly I can deliver stuff in person!

I've never gigged with these. They've just chilled in my smoke-free home.

The Korg doesn't have its original power supply, just a generic after market one. The volume knob crackles a bit when you turn it but otherwise it works like a charm.

I'm also going to be selling a Moog Little Phatty Stage II, but I don't really want to ship that. If you're coming to the aforementioned fests, or you are within a few hours of me (I live in Huntsville, AL) we can talk about it.

You can PM me or email me at roboctopus (at) gmail (dot) com

Who all is planning on going?  I'm trying to start planning my trip and it would be cool to stay at a hostel or whatever with other chip people.

I wrote a series of articles on the WAV channel. They were on noisechannel.org which seems to be dying. I'm slowly porting them over to my tumblr if you want to take a look at them:

As excited as I am about playing, I am equally excited about getting to see a bunch of Japanese chip acts I never thought I'd get to see live.

Hype!
