Re: What are the advantages of 1/4 & 1/8 Jacks? (30 replies, posted in General Discussion)
well all the 1/8 inch cables i used were stereo and all the 1/4 inch cables i used were mono
maybe it doesn't have to be that way but i think that's how it always was for me

horrid horrid horrid horrid horrid horrid horrid
edit:
-- the site doesn't work~ once i entered the forums there was no way of getting back to the home page without using the back button in my browser (yes, it's a minor gripe, but it's probably symptomatic of a crappy web designer).
-- it suggests there are only four tools to make snes music (two of which are totally incapable of making snes music).
-- it's called 16 bit collective but focuses only on one kind of 16 bit system (what does that remind you of heh heh heh)
-- the guy who started it seems to have Something Wrong With Him

Re: new stylesheet for less widescreen (6 replies, posted in Bugs and Requests)
some suggestion:
~move userlist to bottom and search bar to top (single coloumn design)
~in recent topics, move the forum name so it is underneath the thread name instead of next to it
~maybe an option to hide avatar and then have the username above the thread reply instead of next to it
that's all i can really think of but it would help a lot i think

Re: New Compilation in the name of revenge (68 replies, posted in Collaborations)
i think you should only chose the 10 best submissions and you should get as many people as possible to submit artwork and only chose one cover
that way your comp will be higher quality

Re: Seperating pieces of audio (10 replies, posted in Audio Production)
easier than manual phase cancelation is a mid/side plugin like the one chunter linked. the best one i know is voxengo MSED
http://www.voxengo.com/product/msed/
this doesn't work on most modern songs though, where everything is centred and the only stereo width comes from an artifically wide reverb
works better on old songs when they only just discovered stereo and all they knew how to do was pan things
