Absolutely, it's great for record stores but it's a shame that it means non-major labels have to wait months to get things pressed because plants have to give priority to rolling stones reissues. I know it's not a problem everywhere but it's definitely creating problems for a fair few labels. Personally I think it'd be better to have a campaign encouraging people to go to record stores more often than once a year.

Or it would be if chip was over commercialized...

Try pulse width modulation. Have a table set up with W commands or there are some tutorials on here about how to do it with the wav channel.

Hell yes, going to be awesome, everyone should come to this wink

You had me at spooky chip heart

Make some wind sounds with the noise channel and some long envelopes. Make some creepy arpeggios-type melodies like the exorcist/dead silence themes. Generally just use minor scales with some deliberately dissonant notes. Odd time signatures help create an uneasy feeling too.

I think his girlfriend is going to say "No" when she finds out how he spells Mortal Kombat...

I just follow Little Scale's tutorial, using Audacity, add shit loads of gain, then keep testing in an emulator to gauge whether it needs to be louder or not. I think the part about the nquist frequency means you filter out anything above that frequency? And it's easy to set the sample rate in Audacity to the one mentioned in the tutorial.

Once you get it right you'll realise you can easily get your kits way louder than the stock ones and never want to use them again.
For example, check out the kick/snare in this: https://tommycreep.bandcamp.com/track/monster

I never use live mode, I like the structure how it is, I don't need to fuck it up or repeat the best bit just to feel like i'm doing more. Live music is about how you present your music, not how "live" it really is. If it's that important to you then maybe you should be using a keyboard and not a sequencer.
