I've always found pockets pretty easy to backlight, the polarisation film comes off pretty easily, used to have to cut some of the plastic away on the inside to fit the backlight (which is easy enough) in but that might not be a problem with the newer backlights. Easy to prosound too from what I can remember, think you just have to de-soulder two little bits.

You need to download the software which you can find on this page http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/usb-64m-smart-card and make sure it's not in the GB when you connect it to the computer.

Just wanna say that the inverted yellow backlights that are in the kitsch-bent store at the moment look awesome, kinda lime green almost.

Tried out the printable screencovers too. The pre-cut sheet got eaten by the printer so had to use plain paper but pretty happy with the result even though the printer I used wasn't that good quality.

Poh no you didn't...

What to expect:

Would be great to see you all there. If it goes well, there'll definitely be more!

Should be an awesome night! Some more pretty flyers:

A night of 8-bit/Chiptune/Electronic music made on old video game consoles!

Fresh from the morgue, Tommy Creep comes armed only with two Nintendo Game Boys creating a bloodbath of ghoulish 8-bit bass music! Eerie-theremin leads and lo-fi screams lurk between monster basses and voodoo drums!

Alone is a musical mad scientist, whose lab consists of NES consoles mangled with Game Boys, delay pedals, loops of guitar and samples. All of these ingredients are spliced together into a wholly pleasant audio experience that touches on post rock, classic electronica and chiptune.

Dance or DIE! (Or nod in appreciation) The VIRUS Empire combines lo-fi, retro technologies with modern production tools to create super-infectious, mega-danceable chipmusic!

If you're:

a) trying to limit your DAW to produce something that sounds like it was made on a console/old computer

rather than

b) trying to push the limits of the sound producing capabilities of a console/old computer

then I would use the term fakebit, otherwise I don't really know what the definition of fakebit would be or what the point in the term would be.
