The deal is you're not looking hard enough.

Chiptune, Fakebit, VSTs, good music is good music in the end regardless of what you use to make them.

Huh?

Someone post that link.

Also, the term "best" is very subjective. You may find what one person deems "best" to not be the best sounding to you.

Hardware ftw.

i'm talking about an emulator such as the openemu or the visual boy vs a gameboy pocket/colour/DMG i know the first super GB had some clock issues.

thanks for commenting.

There was an update patch with LSDj that corrected the clock speed difference with the SGB.

He actually posted about it?

I remember reading news of him, but didn't know he posted about it.

Could pick up something like this. Found it at a vintage gaming store in Taiwan.

Have you tried wiping the cart and starting again?

Just did that, didn't fix anything.

Do you have another gameboy you could try it on?

Yep, same problem on a game boy color.

You might have to wipe it multiple times to clear everything out... completely.

You are definitely going to be getting distortion if you are trying to make a Mono signal from a Stereo signal just using audio jacks/connectors. Someone correct me if I am wrong but you might also be doing some damage to the PA mixer.

I would use RCA to RCA cables, then use two RCA to Mono 1/4" jacks and plug those two into the PA Mixer.

You don't get a proper Mono signal when you plug a Stereo jack into a Mono Jack.

You get two signals trying to "compete" on a single pole on the audio connector.

Adapters don't "adapt" the signal, they just split or change how a connector plugs into something. They don't mix signals.

You're trying to route a Stereo signal to a mono signal with an adapter to the PA board?

I don't have it either. I was a teenager when I made that guide, and didn't even know which end of the soldering iron was hot. You shouldn't have any trouble reproducing it without the guide.

I might remake it, but it's fairly low priority in the midst of everything else I need to sort out first.

I was able to dig up some of our old emails detailing the mod and got them to Max.

Oh snap! The vanity screens. Someone correct me, they used to be sold on ASM Retro or kitsch?
