I first learned about chiptune music back in 2011. I've been modifying gameboys and accessories since then and have just now started to focus more on composing than modding.

I'm fairly certain I've installed every color backlight available. The only two colors that I feel are the most illegible when using a gameboy are red and blue. The color of the LED seems to evenly tone everything.
If you do use these colors I recommend the use of an inverted polarizer film.

If you stripped the philips head style, you can use a flat tip to cross the stripped out portion of the philips head and take them off.
Take your time. Plastic breaks. Tiny metal pieces break.
