Not the most original cover ever, just the classic mario at a rave.

Nice job! I love that phrase: 'classic mario at a rave'. big_smile

I finally got time to upgrade tonight, with some fresh batteries. I've got four tracks recorded so far for the Calculator album. Working on the 5th. Should hopefully have it finished early next year.

Hello.

Clearing out some of the stuff I have to help fund my ever increasing lust for Eurorack modules.

I'll update below with new items as and when I put them up for sale.

1. Sub Decay Harmonic Antagonizer Fuzz Oscillation pedal - a crazy fuzz pedal that has a sort of filter effect built in. Great fun. Hardly used - it just sat in my studio from new. Slight marks on the rear label, comes in the original box. 100GBP (140GBP retail price).

2. Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator PO-14 Sub. 30GBP (49GBP retail price).

Selling my PO-14 mini bass synth.

The top 'coathanger' clip has been snapped off (as is its design), and the back metallic 'stand' has gone missing, as it got in the way (though I'll include it if it turns up). Neither of these things have a negative impact on the actual operation of the synth itself.

Included is the synth and the synth only. No batteries or cables or anything else.

Postage for the UK will be 5GBP tracked. Europe postage 7.50GBP. US 8.50GBP (Europe and US untracked, but can do tracked for a bit more dosh).

Will take PayPal Friends & Family option!

Some article was posted on this/shared to a synth group on Facebook:

Also, I have spent way too much cash lately, but I have to have this. Submitted my pre-order today!

Just listened through - great work! Particularly love Adventure Time. When the bass comes in at about the 2 minute mark it really brought it all together. Loved the sounds you got in that track.

Oh, and the artwork is pretty great too.

I took this one: uc8n-xzx4

Will check it out tomorrow during work!

This is great!

Hello!

Looking to get a second arduinoboy, and/or a 4 way GB synch so I can use one as a Master clock, and slave up 2-3 others. I could build them myself, but short of time lately, so if anybody has one they want rid of, give me a shout!

Ideally would come from the EU for postage and currency reasons, but not averse to outside.

Cheers smile

Oooh nice idea. Any wiring diagrams etc out there for setting this up? I'd need to get another 4 way connector and a third USB cart, but could be a neat solution.

as a preface, i haven't played live, but wouldn't you press start on the slave first? like press start on slave and get "wait", then start playing master, both start playing. at some point before the master finishes then change the slave to master, and load the next song in the first master (if the next song hasn't already been set to slave sync then set it to slave). press start on new slave to get "wait" and when the new master plays the next chain you should now be in sync right? i just tested this and it seems like it should work, although it will probably take some practice

Just for the record, tried this out, and it worked great. Thanks a lot!

Playing at the Space Station Bar in Osaka. Free. After 8pm! Long shot but would love to meet any of you that are in the area. First time taking this shizz out of the studio after five odd years.

Somebody just put me on to this TEDx talk from earlier in the year that speaks a bit about the Game Boy's history, and its role in music. Hopefully hasn't been posted already!

create multiple songs in single LSDJ projects for each gameboy...?

That would mean re-writing all of my existing tracks, so that's no use sadly.

I can't quite wrap my head around how that would work, but I'll give it a bash and see!

So, after five or six years of recording electronic music purely in a 'studio' fashion, I'm going to bite the bullet and start playing live.

At the start, I am going for a minimal, portable setup - two DMGs, with an iRig mixer so there's minimal changeover time between songs. Something like this:

The question is... there are some tracks where I'd like to beat-match and transition over a bit more seamlessly between songs. I know the tapping A trick, but I'm struggling with how to synch the two Game Boys. For example...

* I set the green DMG to Master, and the white DMG to Slave, and start both playing. The Green DMG goes first.
* Song on green DMG finishes. I beatmatch the white DMG, and then slide it over so that the white DMG is now playing through the output. All good.
* I go to load the next song file on the green DMG - at this point I lose synchronisation between the two.

How do I get around that problem? From reading, it seems like other people have different methods. Any tips?

I've only ever used one, so it's not necessary. Would be a nice to have, but not required by any means.

There's also a nice little bar tucked into a dead end street there (my Google Maps history tells me the coordinates are 35.662265,139.668768) with just the word "beer" on a little sign at the front.. they serve lesser known Japanese craft beers and have some interesting food (I had a weird "pizza" which was just a bunch of sliced lotus root with cheese melted on top, it was awesome). The bartender was very helpful, really knows his stuff when it comes to beer. Also the toilets are those ones with a sensor that opens the lid as you approach. It gave me a bit of a surprise when I walked in there after a few beers!

99.9999% sure this is Ushi-Tora! Awesome bar. http://ushitora.jp

Thanks man! Added it to our list.
