Sounds awesome man! Very well said and put together wink I'll definitely pay attention to this.

I just want people to hear my music and be like wow, that's cool and show it off to their friends.

Also, hand sanitizer really gets me inspired.

Yeah I'm kinda getting tired of posting in these My First LSDJ threads haha. You tell them the truth and they get mad, or they completely ignore experienced opinions haha.

The best thing about the chip scene is that you can email your heroa and learn directly from them, ns sometimes befriend them. It's a huge plus for chip music.

Guitarists can't quite email Hendrix now, can they wink use that to your advantage.

No matter what gear you have or how bad you want it, you will suck until you have written at least 100+ songs. By then you'll have developed an ear for what sounds good and what sounds bad. This stage took me a year, and I've already had many years of musical experience, and I feel iLife I've only just gotten good. Do yourself a few favors:

1. Get a soundcloud account.

2. Don't drop money on new/expensive gear, you wont sound any better

3. Don't release an album until you know you're really good from outside opinions

4. Listen and listen and listen and listen to so much music.

5. Ask people for tips and help on writing. The only reason I learned the wav channel was looking at zef's files, emailing cheapshot asking for help, and emailing Electric Children. That's also how you make friends.

6. Don't give up!

There's also this really awful, horribly bad tutorial series that that stupid roboctopus wrote called LSDJ and You!

Well the next one won't close, because I'm going to make a separate PayPal for this compo smile this one is using my personal one, I didn't realize it would raise so much lol. This one will end up being free, and then the next one will go indefinitely with a Chip for Cancer specific paypal account smile

You're very hostile, I've noticed. Just an observation.

The funds are great! The total is a bit over $500 (i reported higher before, but I took that that mistakenly, without realizing that that was before bandcamp's revenue and paypal processing fees: regardless, we have a large amount to donate!)

I'm going to be closing this one soon because I have to use my paypal account for other things, as well as to donate the total amount in the coming weeks smile

thank you all! And there will be a CFC volume II at some point smile I'll keep you all updated.
