Perhaps I'm being silly, but I can't seem to find the new link anywhere. The old one is pretty dead.

Re: Fatass Tracker Wishlist (9 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Here are a few ideas, together with comments.
Mostly usability improvements, not magical features
general:
-song loop position not working
it's in but doesn't work
-ability to mute/solo channels
can't believe you can't do this. perhaps I just couldn't find it?
-song should keep playing when you enter effect editor
so you can hear what you're doing while you're doing it
pattern editor:
-b+left/right - move 8 (or 11) steps up/down
so you can get to the desired step quickly
-a+b+up/down - prev/next pattern
so you don't have to jump to the sequence editor and scroll through it
main menu:
left/right - prev/next screen (jump 11 rows)
practically jumps to the next/prev page of the menu, since it's a big menu
Also, the noise channel seems to be kinda crap. Not sure what can be done about that

Re: help with tables (31 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I've been pondering making LSDj videos/tutorials for some time, but I've never gotten to it. As so often, I get stuck in the planning stage. So, I think it'd be a good idea if you guys could give me some ideas of things you want to learn how to do in LSDj (tables or no tables) and I'll try to make a tutorial for it. How about that?
That's a nice one on ticks, even though I never had trouble with the concept (long time protracker-user). Curious about that triplet bit, tho.
On the other hand, I've always wanted a tute covering good wave/synth practices. Pretty please.
Ashimoke's idea is also awesome.

Topic: Multiple programs on a single USB cart (4 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
OK sorry if this has been discussed before, in that case just point me in the right direction.
I've had this idea of installing LSDJ and another program (possibly carillon or fatass) on a single USB cart.
What I want to ask is, has anyone tried this, and would saving in one program fuck up the save from the other one?
Thanks in advance.

ProTracker prowess.
Made in 1993.This is a classic but maybe a lot of people haven't seen it yet.
I still have to find the Pink modules where he performed this sort of tricks.
The YouTube video skips a bunch of frames, I bet because of emulation.
That upscroll gimmick was fun for about a week after the party it got released at
Audiomonster actually used to make pretty good music using 'tricks' like these. Also people used it left and right to save pattern space for intro music (since each new pattern = 1 more kb of module data).

Dithering is a pretty complex topic. My general advice would be:
-try and avoid it altogether, if at all possible.
-use only one pattern (50-50 chequer), as you can easily waste time and make the image worse unless you knwo what you're doing.
Ways to approach it are endless, but there is no quick and easy workaround (except dithered color-reduction).
Here are some styles:
For some reason, it will not embed the last two images. See them here:
