every version i've used freezes up in live mode. Particularly worse with extreme panning and insane sample tampering. Avoid these if you want the live to be reliable. I don't know what you mean with the commands, you can't find the sweep or slide functions?

cheapshot: I have a save file on the EZIV for each rom (game). Just when you transfer the rom to the SDcard make sure you select flash memory type, not eprom or whatever

dude just buy an EZFlash IV. It uses a miniSD card to store everything and has a pc/GBA client for transfering/running roms.
I bought mine a few months ago, they're still available.
